Course Curriculum Overview
good structure of curriculum and timetable made for overall semester . The Maritime sector has three courses to choose Btech marine engineering, Bsc Nautica Science and Diploma in Nautical Science. I have choose the Btech marine engineering and it includes all studies from thermodynamics to fluid dynamics to C languages. These course is package of every field from management studies to law studies even you can become a codes if you love it. The course is divided into 8 semesters. 1st year is all about the 12 revision and basic knowledge of mechanical engineering, stress, strain, bending etc. 2nd year is about the learning of main engine and auxiliary machines along with the fluid dynamics studies, thermodynamics and Marine Pollution Annexures. 3rd year is about learning Ship Design and Building with Naval Architecture and Machine Design and CFD. and final year it's all over arrangements of machines in vessel body and piping design and valves design and studies plus 2 month practical training at the MDL Mazgaon Dockyard. Final semester exams are in the month of December for odd semester and in June for the even semester.
Internships Opportunities
The college provide by college had to done in the month of June and July. We have given the opportunity for the Internship in the GumaTech Workshop. It is a workshop were ship equipment are brought for repairs and maintenance. Here we are given one month internship programme with zero stipend but they provide accommodation. Yes the workshop is at gujrat and far from city so instead of stipend they provide accommodation for the days we are there for intership. We have also hand on practice on the MDL.
Placement Experience
Placements are best and 100 percent from last 6/7 years. Our placement cell works as a team for getting placed to every cadet here. Most probably a batch needs 7/8 companies for getting placed. The college has the 100% placement, yes you have heard it right the college has full placement. Each and every cadets who gets graduate from her has a job in his hand with good income. I myself got placement in my 6th semester. My batch strength is 40 and 20 are placed already and some companies are already in line for select the cadets. February we are expecting Fleet Management Ltd. Company. We have an average offer of 600 dollars with no tax cutting.
Fees and Financial Aid
per year fee is 225000 and per odd semester 125000 and even semester 100000 and I am from general category no quota of scholarship and the college infrastructure is very good and best itself total fee of 4 years is 900000 for batch entry 2021
Campus Life
The college view is beautiful. This is my final year but being with my friends the time spent well. We have many clubes Technical Club, Literary Club, Robotics Club, Disaster Management Club, Pr Club and many more. The cadets are free to choose there club of interest. Also about the sports the college provide good sports equipment we have a ground near the college. Only drawback is we are social not in contact with outside world. The classrooms are provided with Smartboards and projectors and good ventilation. We have a college fest Prayaan coming in the month of April. I will glad if you participate.
Admission
The college has a good teaching staffs. They are the retired merchant Navy officers who are here to train new cadets. We have s technical supritendent who has a 15 or more years experience in shipping and through his studies students learn alot. Her we have some Phd holders who have no knowledge abt the shipping but they also try there best to learn themselves and also teach the cadets. The course includes abt the main engine studies of ship
Faculty
Overall subjects are hard for marine engineering but the faculty here is good enough and informative lectures and giving good knowledge also for the development of students here for their bright future
Night Life
No nightouts. Yes we are not allowed to roam at night. This helps to develop a discipline in the cadets as he has to be on ship for months. Only Sunday outing. We have gym provided to us timing in Morning from 6 to 8 and evening 5 to 7. We have canteen where we have to pay if we have to be there. Plus we have a good shore view from our cafeteria/canteen.
