Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose B.tech because i always wanted to lear to code since i was in 11 th grade and wanted to learn new things about computers and more technology. b.tech is a cirriclum which reallly helps in coding purposes and we learn new languages which helps us createwebsited, Back end work and front end too in big tech companies and is important for every technology in the world. This couse includes different stuff like ECE, CSE and mechanical more and new coming soon. I think the most important thing they need to improve is the cirriclum how they teach and what they teach cuz there is a lot of useless things which is not even related to our courese and we still need to learn and prepare for their exams and i am not satisfied with all that. the course should include stuff which includes more hands on work on technology and not on others streams and should do our proper develelopment. The teachers dhould motivate the students to learn things and have practical knowledge on things we will be working on in future and not on the ones which are not in need with our course.also the exams system should be more learning based and not theory based and should include problem statements and soutions to them in general there should be more projects and PPts work for us to better understand the B.tech course and improve ourself cuz there is so much competiton in the generation.

Internships Opportunities

3

Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Nucleus Software, Genpact and many more visit our college to offer placements and offer some good internship to students who are capable and also someone got highesht 35 LPA too. The roles offere is product developer, back end tasks, mechanical engineer, and many more. The students have made many unique projects which is still present in the mechanical lab and is insane and it incldes cars, motorbikes , electric stuff and many more which is very innovative and the stundents of mechanical engineering are one of the most innovative across the whole college.

Placement Experience

according to me 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements although i am not sure of my answer but i just overheard this thing that u gotta be in 7th sem for placements of campus. The companies visited in HMR college for placements are Infosys, tcs, Adobe, cvent. CSC , tech mahindra, genpact, virtusa, wipro, HCL, Libsys and many more. In total more than 100 students get placed from the same. The highest package a student o HMR got 35 LPA packaage offer recenty and many more off campus . 86 percent of studnets get placed and with good placement ratio. My plan after getting the degree is to study M.tech also abroad and then get placed in a good company i always wanted to go and study abroad when i was a child thats why i always prepared and made my extracirrucilars strong but i will surely make and study abroad after completing my bachelors degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

While i got admission in HMR college initially i had to pay an amount of 96000 which was in a form of a demand draft and also some application fees like 2500 rupees and both were in form of demand draft since i took in special spot round and after that we went to college for reporting where we paid them 48000 more for the college feees and also i paid 38000 for bus charges which i opted for and not compulsory so overall i paid like 268200 ruppes in first year fees since first year is little more and after this i think my yearly fees will be close to 1,35000 after completion of 1st year. and so continues for the 2 more years.so in total my course which is B.Tech will cost me approx 7 lakhs so taling about scholarship oppurnities i dont think it is for general candidates and is for others like OBC,Sc/St etc. Overall the charges are alumni fund- 2000 security deposit that is 10000 unniversity charges 20000 and the tution fees is 103700 which makes up the total of 135700.

Campus Life

3

Since i only completed 1st semseter till now i have only seen 1 fresher party which was organised in our college recently but i dont think HMR really organised any other functions after that there are Anugoonj in the IPU main campus where we can participate though and become a partof it. The library size is decent in my college it has various study related books which we issue from the library cards we got and the books help us study according to the curriculum and do the best in exams and aso many journals present. I personally dont like the fact that the HMR college doesnt really focus on the extracirrucilare activeies and sprts activities they barely got any sports stuff and dont even issue to the students or we can say the studnets are not that enthusiatic about the sports and extra activities unlike me. there was a SIH which was held last year which was before i got admission and got to heard about that by batchmates. till know i dont know if thereis any good clubs i just know there is a fashion society club which helps students buid confidence and more. but as of such there is no much clubs or good activities i see in the college campus.

Admission

I chose HMR colllege over other colleges because my uncle is an alumni of this college and he briefed me everything About the college and what was the nature and environment at the college and my colleges since situated in a village kind of area it is very evitonment friendly and also as excellent opportunities for the students to grow side from this I got admitted into SRM Sonipat University but it was a little far away from my house so I took hmr in my consideration. I couldn't make to a better college of IPU since my rank was 628000 something because I did not pay attention to the JEE exam since I want to go abroad and study in Canada but since there is a lot of crisis in Canada right now I couldn't make their so I choose hmr college in special spot round and gotta seat in it to get admission in my college there is IPU counselling which conducts different rounds and after that online and offline spot round also the cutoffs are pretty moderate and the admission is on the basis of rank and you need to give the JEE exam to get admission in good colleges of IPU.

Faculty

4

I think the faculty to student ration is like 1 teacher for every 30 students. Overall all faculties are friendly and helpful but some are not. I like my class teacher which is chinmayee mam and also the teacher of communication skills and manufacturing process and the reason is that i got jaundice after the freshers party and it was severe my billirubin went up to 7 .2 and i was super ill and due to the same i had to take a medical leave for 1.5 months in which i took proper bed rest since the doctor has adviced me to and after i recovered and went to college and approached the teachers all 3 of them were helpful and told me to do what i was supposed to since i had missed very important stuff in those months. And they really helped me catch up but on the other hand the applied mathematics teacher and electrical science teacher didnt hesitate and blamed me wihtout knowing the truth and didnt listen to me and also gave me bad marks in internal exams even tho i was on leave for 1.5 months i even submitted the important assigments which i was supposed to but their nature was very rude and unpolite. OK talking bout the exams there are two mid term exams inthe college before the end termsand some suprise tests too. The difficulty is i will say moderate and not that hard. 20 percent of the students dont manage to pass the exam. and not gona lie the cirrcicumum is no very relevant what we are studying is not very helpful like subjects like MP, ES and IC and more are not relevant according to me there should be some innovative courses which is more realted to B.tech and our interpersonal skills.

Night Life

2

When i first entered the college campus the first thing i saw was the college canteen which had nice food i tasted almost eveything till now and i personally liked eveything and like some hangout places there is a Downtown cafe when we leave the campus and is on 100 m walking distrace and is really well made we somethimes chiill and hang out there and we enjoy a lot. there was 1 more cafe whichgot destoryed by a fight of some seniors i dont know the full story just know a part of it and since then its is sbut down. but the thing is our college is situated in a little inaccesible area due to which there is not much we can go or hang out with friends so we have to leave an 4-5 kms to acutally went in bakoli and have somethhing or to even have a bus. i dont know about hostels nearby but a lot of students come from burari area and many from rohini also by bus and other vechiles. The locaity is safe for anyone to hang out with. but there is not much u can explore with your foot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d say the B.Com (Hons.) curriculum is quite relevant and covers important subjects like Accounting, Finance, Law, and Management, which was one reason I chose this course. It does build a strong base for CA, MBA, or govt. exams, but some parts still feel too theory-based and outdated. DU should add more practical exposure, case studies, and industry-linked content. We usually have internals mid-semester and finals at the end — they’re manageable if you study regularly, but tricky if left for the last minute.

The campus itself is providing a lot of Internship and placement oppertunities to the students. And it is only in the hands of the students that how they perform. Faculties and students support will always be there. No need to worry about anything while doing internship on regular class days. Faculties support those students very well.

Teaching method is very good in Delhi University teachers teach very well as well as they give time to a specific student. Every term come in 6 months and was to too hard to clear.
