- The course curriculum is a little hectic in final year.

- Working on Saturday as well. Only Sunday is a holiday.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very relevant. The first 2 years are preclinical so prepares you to start seeing patients. From the 3rd year onwards we start dealing with patients and get prepared for the real world.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is for a year in college. There will be different rotations lasting from 2 weeks to 2 months in various departments based on the need for people to work. Departments like PHD and Oral Pathology have postings of 2 weeks, while departments like Prosthodontics, Endodontics and OMFS have postings that last upto 2 months. Stipend of 6,000 per month. We will be dealing with patients on a daily basis.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly tuition fees of 3,20,000. Caution deposit of 10,000 in 1st Year. Yearly special fees of 20,000-30,000 Yearly hostel fee of 37,500 Monthly mess fee of 3,500 Yearly tuition fees of students under NRI quota is 6,40,000
Campus Life
Interdents which happens every year in October/November. A library is available. Classrooms with smart TVs, projectors and screens. Football ground and Cricket pitch, Throwball and Volleyball court, Basketball court, Badminton courts, Table Tennis tables and Carrom boards available. Quiz clubs, music clubs, sports teams.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms can be either: Single attached Single unattached Double sharing attached Double sharing unattached Triple sharing attached Meals are provided 4 times a day- Breakfast, Lunch, Tea with snacks and Dinner. Registration through college for hostel. Hostel fee for Triple sharing attached is 37,500 per year. All other rooms are slightly more expensive. Mess fee 3,500 per month.
Admission
I had a decent NEET rank. Went to Chennai for the final counselling to join CMC, Vellore but ended up as No. 1 on the waiting list. I did not get into government colleges so MBDC was my next option as I had heard about it from others. NEET is the qualifying exam.
Faculty
The faculty student relationships are good. They are helpful. Dr. Krishnan Hari, Dr. Jayan Jacob. 4.5 years + 1 year of internship. 2 sets of internal exams, 1 model exam and 1 final set of university exams, every year (5 times). Exam out of 70. 35 to pass.
Interview Experience
No group discussion or interview before admission. The only qualifying exam was NEET. Joined an extrance coaching centre for a year. Classes on Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after which I attempted NEET again.
Night Life
Open gym, cafeterias and canteens available. Hostel timings till 7pm for girls and till 10pm for boys. Inside college the hangout spots are near the walkway, the basketball court, preclinical block etc. Outside mostly restaurants like Ira, Farzi, Cloud9, Silvertips, Udupi etc.
