Remarks :

Positive thing about college is that they Call companies for placement. Recently very good work on infrastructure. Various New labs, Seminar Hall are built. Yes although there are some Negative points in this college. Of which i think the most negative tjing is internship which they don't offer.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course is related to GATE syllabus.Some extra subjects like Physics, English is in extra. Exam is conducted in May-June for Even Semesters and November - December for odd semesters of 70 marks each. Other 30 marks include internal marks. In between there are 2 unit tests conducted of 15 marks each out of which best of two is taken.

Placement Experience :

Placement is average.But its sure good students get placed.U should be good atleast in any one coding language.It might be C, Java, Python.The companies start coming from July to August. No, my college doesn't provide Internship.Although u Can do it from Online platforms like Internshala

College Events :

They are 3-4 college fests conducted namely Robotics, RCL, Krirathon, Regalia. Out of which Regalia is the biggest. Its a cultural fest.Robotics is related to Robo Race, Robo war, Robo Soccer etc.RCL stands for RCC Cricket League. Along with some departmental fests are also held

Fee Structure And Facilities :

In short its Feasible. The fees for 4 Years is Rs.368000 for my batch i.e. 2016-2020 It increases by very little amount for the upcoming batches. I more thing you don't have to pay any at the time of Exam Registration as it is already included.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No Scholarship or Loan Facility offered by our college.However If you are from Jharkhand(as i am from there) u can get Scholarship name "E-Kalyan" as the college fees is less than 4 Lakhs.The only t&C is you should be in backward class and your father's income should be less than 1 Lakh.

Campus Life :

Labs are Excellent. Everything is available.All the Labs Especially CSE labs are fabulous. Sports are regularly conducted by the college's students itself. However Some funding is given by College.Remaining are contributed by students.

Hostel Facilities :

There Is no Hostel Facility in many of the West Bengal Colleges. So in this college too there is no Hostel Facility. However P. G.s or hostels are available Flat is also available nearby. Its cheaper,not so costly.

External Expense : Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, Alumni are helpful. They visit and conduct seminar regularly in the college seminar Hall. Seniors are also very helpful. They motivate us to do well in studies. Anything related to their branch, they help in that.There is no any fear of ragging such helpful and friendly they are.

Admission :

I got admission in this college through Entrance Exam. The name of Entrance Exam is "WBJEE".Its exam is most probably Conducted in May.You have to be within 10000 rank to be eligible for CSE department and then the rank goes on decreasing for other branches.Then After getting rank you will be eligible for counseling having 3 rounds

Faculty :

Faculties are talented.Although its a college in west bengal,The faculties don't teach us in Bengali.They teach us in English.Maximum faculties are Post Graduated. Seperate faculties are available for seperate Subjects.Any time u can ask questions from Faculties at their respective chambers.

The curriculum is well developed and the major areas of learning are adequately addressed. It has prepared students for practice as well as for further education. I wanted to point at such aspects of teaching design that need to be developed : offerings of practical projects and a greater focus on interactive teaching methods. I chose Physiology Honours because I was always very much into Physiology and Medicine.. And also Vidyasagar College is the Best College to study Physiology Honours under Calcutta University.. The Faculty:Student ratio is also quite Good and they provide one to one interaction to the student if needed.. All the Faculty are very highly qualified with the top most degree possible.. Their Teaching method is quite student friendly and Good.. They try their level best to make the students understand the concept in depth..
