The clubs here, where we can explore other domains other than our course
Workshops conducted by various organisations and clubs
Facilities like fablab, other labs like mechanical labs

Dislikes

The crowd in SRM is very huge and some times you will get irritated
No proper management for events, programs conducted by Aarush
No gaps between exams, full of assignments and practicals

Course Curriculum Overview

Presently I am studying in semester one, so I don't know much about the curriculum. But as of now, the curriculum is not much revelant to our course, Like why do we need Biology and Chemistry. And no practical knowledge

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 275000 per year

Internships Opportunities

As of now I am still in my first semester, I don't have much information about the internship opportunities available in the college. But there are opportunities and there are people to help you to get an internship.

Placement Experience

Our mechatronics Engineering strength would be around 100 members. So, providing placements for these 100 students is not a big deal. As of my seniora most of the students would be placed in placements and placement process would start from 3rd year

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year fees is 2 Lakh 75 Thousand. Other scholarships can be found in Official SRM website. The fees will definitely increase for coming batchs as same happened for our batch too. Registration fee will be 10 thousand rupees.

Campus Life

The overall campus live is good. Here there are many clubs where you are always welcomed to explore different domains. Infrastructure is also pretty good here. And a bit of language barrier between north and south people

Hostel Facilities

The facilities in Hostel are not worth it for the amount we pay. Here the bathrooms are not good Rooms are too small for 4 members I took 4 sharing AC non attached bathroom room. For laundry you to pay 7 thousand rupees

Hostel Fee: INR 118000 per year

Admission

I took admission in SRM UNIVERSITY because I want to do Mechatronics in my B.tech. In South India, SRM UNIVERSITY would be the better choice for this course when compared to other colleges and universities.

Faculty

A batch of students will be having a Faculty advisor. The course curriculum is not much revelant is somewhat outdated. In span of 4 months 3 exams and a sem exam for each subject. We should not depend on the faculties,we should study on our own

Night Life

There is no nightlife if you are staying in hostel. U can just allowed to roam inside the block after 9 for boys. And for girls it is even worse in timings. But it for their safety. If you want a nightlife you have to take a pg or flat

SRM Ramapuram - a full blown advice

so i decided i wanted this college right after i completed 11th std boards. it wasn't as far as the other colleges. it wasnt strict but not too liberal either. you have the best timetable each sem (almost) and you will def get marks if you study just a bit. has one event or the another going on (most of the events are held by easwari but youll have access to most of them) .canteen food is also nice and you have almost nothing to worry about. just study every now and then, work on wtv skills you want to and youre set...Read More

Well, SRM is where i got CSE in the first round of counselling itself, and since it is a prestigeous institution with 100% placement under CSE, I was satisfied with the college. I also got a very good rank in wbjee, but the quality of education is falling tremendously here in bengal, the crime rates are getting high too. I also scored well in ComedK, but the expenditure of Bangalore life is as high as SRM fees, so, practically it was better for me to choose SRM. I didn't get selected in VIT for CSE. My rank was ot great, nor was my preparation. One can get admission in SRM through their entrance examination SRMJEEE. Someone with 60% aggregate in higher secondary is eligible to sit for this examination. Seat allocated is based on ranks and seat availbility, which changes every year....Read More

Great Expensive College

I applied for the entrance test of various colleges namely BITS, VIT, and Manipal university. I was getting the same course in Manipal too but their councelling rounds were very late and till then paid the fees for SRM. Got rejection from VIT but am still confused whay so and according to me I am 90% sure that their ranking system for their entrance test is biased and not fair. Was able to qualify the BITS round 1 but was not getting desired course, and round 2 skipped the exam due to some unforscene circumstances....Read More
