Course Curriculum Overview

4

Nothing really influenced me to take this course it was just my personal interest in mathematics, There are Value addition courses, Skill enhancment courses under nep2020 for Delhi University although the classes for these courses get canceled frequently or syllabus gets rushed. These courses execution need improvement, also they are teach languages like hindi punjabi urdu which is compulsory to take not adding any value in employability of student.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for Bsc Honors Mathematics at Zakir Hussain Delhi College is Rs17351 For 1st year for General category, Excluding the fees for examination that we need to pay when end sem exam dates apporach closer. There was no such total breakdown of that fees for like Tution fees , practical, development fee etc.The popular course Bcom Honors fees is around rs 14000. And yes SC ST students do receive fee waviers.

Campus Life

1

There are no events in this college if you like to have a college life then please don't come to this college.Library is rowdy and noisy but it has desent range of books magazines and newspapers.Sports doesn't exist in this college we recently are trying to play cricket in a playground infront of college. There are clubs like dance club debate society but no events.Introvert students like me suffer a lot here. The library is also a scam with fake price board installed for NACC rating. The classrooms are congested have old wood benches with no cctv cameras projectors. Also new building is closed since 7 years it was built in 2017 and didn't start functioning.

Admission

We enter central universities through cuet ug exam , and there is a admission portal in that portal there is a college preference selection,There we select across colleges and departments of Delhi University, And i did blunder in that preference seletion

Faculty

4

Most faculties are great with great experience of multiple years,I liked them because they teach really well have great personalities and allow students to enter classes even if they are little late to the class.I like Abdullah sir(He gives free 12 marks to every students in internal assessment out of 40),Chinu mam (always helping in student quries),Venugopal sir.Although Some faculties like Swati mam rush the syllabus too much and refuse to answer simple doubts like exam syllabus. Also laxmi basumarty mam rushed our programming using python course she didn't even teach basic syntax and assmued everyone knew programming.

Night Life

3

I am a morning college student so don't know much about nightlife near college,But it must be great as connaught place is located very close to college. Also Chandini chowk is there for budget friendly eats. No hostels are available, also no hostels are nearby students live in Laxmi nagar mainly. No gyms poor canteen also are a big issue.

The curriculum is well disciplined and we are able to choose courses and it provide practical knowledge of the theories and also we are able to implement them and the area of improvement in the curriculum is that they can increase the number of periods for the like every subject because the number of period is very less they should increase it the frequency of exam is semester wise and the difficulty is like moderate

Placement Experience:

Gargi, like most other delhi colleges, has a standard placement cell. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards, but most requirements happen during the final year. The companies that visit are primarily ed tech based ventures or marketing, HR firms and sales firms. A few that have collaborated over the year has been EY, Decathlon, Urban Company, Deloitte and so on. in terms of packages, the highest that had been around 15-17lpa, and the average package is 4-5lpa. About 20-30% of the batch gets placed during placement interviews while many try to pursue other opportunities or off-campus venues.

as the everyone know for computer science b tech is the best course but there is to much rush for b tech and i dont want to waste my college life or campus life on engenerring degree which dont give me placements thats why i choose for bsc hons cs in du to enjoy the campus life. if you study well in this course it will definately help vo in job interview making your resume good and skills better. the teaching method should be more practical than doing on notebooks or oraly. the datesheet and timings of exams are preety good and the difficulty of exam are moderate the ones who prepares will definately score good marks and can maintain better cgpa.

Placement Experience:

One can easily view the placement statistics of our college on their website. The placement cell of the college manages the placement process. On first glance, it appears impressive. But most of the placements are in similar fields of commerce like consulting or finance, followed by Arts and Science courses getting the least amount of placements. I personally have no faith in my course getting me any placement. So I'm preparing for government exams anyways.
