Remarks :
Overall, I'd say it's a good college. It is focused on academics more but that's a good thing if you want to do Master's in the future. You also get the Delhi University student tag which is respected here and outside as well.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Exams are held in a semester format, with two semesters in one academic year. Syllabus is mostly current and new topics are being introduced with time. It is a pretty good match for Master's courses in India.
Placement Experience :
Placements are available for 3rd years, there is no facility for internships. There is no additional leave given for internships or training if you choose to do so. Placement packages differ a lot, but mostly cap off at 5LPA median.
College Events :
There are department-level and college-level fests starting from January and going up to March. Multiple events are held throughout the year where everyone can participate. Participation from other colleges is fairly low as it is an off-campus college but there is a moderate level of participation.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
All fees are heavily subsidised by the Delhi government. It is very feasible. As a computer science student, I pay 27000 per year, apart from 2000 in exam and miscellaneous fees. It is thus a very reasonable fee structure.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is a fee assistance scheme for low-income households but very few people are aware of it. It is a good scheme and further brings down your fees to almost full subsidy. I have not availed any schemes as I'm not eligible.
Campus Life :
Extracurricular activities are present, depending on whether you are interested or not. Since this is an off-campus college you will have to go to other places for ECA. Labs infrastructure is a mixture of old and new and the newer systems are pretty good and usable. Older ones are ancient and not usable.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni network is helpful always. I've gotten an internship through a senior. They help out even in case of entrance examinations and placement interviews and always there if you need anything. Seniors are also generally helpful.
Faculty :
Most faculty have long-term involvement with Delhi University and are distinguished in their field. Guest professors from other respected institutions are also present. Some are even into research apart from academic fields.
