- Professors are experienced enough, their teaching methods are interesting. Ramjas provides the best teaching faculty in the field of chemistry in the entire Delhi University and it best fit here.
- Campus has a beautiful view. It is spacious and has a great accommodation.
Dislikes
- The placement cell is not so active so we weren't provided with any internships.
- Some of the professors had an unprofessional behavior. Dr. Naresh (professor of green chemistry) had a wrong behavior, his method of teaching was not at all good, used to criticize the students a lot instead of motivating or helping them to try.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was always interested in studying chemistry since school so I opted for this course. The course is well built and designed in order to build your interest in this field. The college provides enough industrial visits to encourage you in the same field and organises sufficient conferences regarding the same. There are no such improvements required in the faculty except a few. Exams used to happen semester wise after every 5 months. We only used to prepare for these, only a few teachers asked us to solve an assignment and nothing much.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for the entire 3 year program was approximately 50-55K(general category). It was to be paid yearly which was 16K. this amount contained tuition fees, lab fees , industrial visits, any program related to the subject, alumni meets, conferences . Fee was affordable but was more for unreserved category students. The students belonging to the reserved category had to pay below 10K for the entire program. There were no such scholarships.
Campus Life :
During me in the college half of my college life was spent in covid and hence online so when my college resumed offline everything was new and different for me. There were no such fests conducted at that time but there used to be Diwali mela which happened for around 1 week. The campus is beautiful, well connected, has a good crowd and beautiful surroundings. Almost all the books were available in the library and were easily accessible. Although there were many societies but only a few were active but not all of them.
Admission :
I always loved chemistry since school and always thought if i would ever get admitted to Delhi University I would love to go to Ramjas because beleive me or not it has got the best Chemistry faculty in the entire Delhi University which is a fact (although i have mentioned it several times before but its true!). So initially in the first cut off i got admission in Khalsa College and reserved a seat with complete confirmation and paid the fee for the same course but as soon as I saw that I was eligible for admission into Ramjas in the forth cut off list i withdrawed my admission from Khalsa College and took admission into Ramjas. I didn't check for any other college then , it was just like a dream come true for me.
Faculty :
I would say that Professors had great knowledge and experience. They provided us with all the notes and recommended the books. The exams were 80 percent easy and 20 percent HOTS type. The ratio of students failing in the university exams was very low since the material provided by the professors was well enough to secure 50 or above. The teachers were easily approachable. I liked Dr. Poonam Dwivedi (inorganic chemitry) she was the best at teaching, was strict and disciplined about her subject and wanted the same from us. Dr. Abha Kathuria (organic chemistry) provided us with all the notes, took enough tests to prepare us well before the exam and taught her subject the best. Dr Sonia Ratnani (organic chemistry) was well experienced also had a tight grip at her subject. There were only very few teachers that i never got comfotable with. DR. Savita Bargujar (organic chemistry) she had a habit of favouritsm , those students who wrote her notes the best were always her favourite.
