Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I knew a few people in the same course and they liked it and it aligned with my future plans as well. The course curriculum is shifting more towards placement oriented study and focusing more on increasing the placement statistics of the college. The area for improvement is focusing more on problem solving than cramming the theory to get good grades. There are exams every 2 months and the end semester exams are quite hard to crack if not prepared well and they cover up 35% of the total weightage.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The college is okay for people who didn't get admission anywhere else(a reputed university) and live nearby. The course curriculum is out dated(similar to other colleges) and there are a few teachers who are very good and few teachers who are here to make your life as tough as possible. Not much flexibility for co curricular activities is provided as, a strict 75% attendance per subject has to be maintained. A good student will shine anywhere and a lot of students get good placements from this college as well, but they work hard for it. I pay 310000 per annum which way more than appropriate. There are some merit based scholarships, but for that you have to do extremely well from the very first semester.
Campus Life :
The college fest's name is Momentum and other events also keep on happening regularly here. The library is decent enough with a lot of place and books to study. Sports facilities are not too good but decent if someone wants to pursue, they can. There a lot of different clubs and societies and we can join any of them as per our liking.
Admission :
I applied to DTU and BITS Pilani and my admission was confirmed there as well. I attended one year at DTU but I left it because I cleared my SSB for armed forces and joined the Naval Academy but had to leave because of injuries and by the time I cam out, admissions were closed everywhere except this college, so I got in. To get admission here, you just have to have given JEE and cleared 12th boards.
Faculty :
The faculty student ratio is okay. I would not like to name any specific facilities but a lot of them are very good and a lot of them are extremely tough to deal with as well. There are two exams per semester and they are fairly easy
Night Life :
There is a decent gym with very little monthly fees. There are two cafeterias and one more small shop of Nescafe. Hostels are not available but there are a lot of pgs near by. There are a lot of markets nearby, places to go for movies and parks and places to hangout.
