Course Curriculum Overview

4

We follow R19 academic regulations . I would say our course curriculum is somewhat outdated in some subjects like C language and MPMC. VNR is known for their electrical engineering course, thats why i chose vnr. Other subjects curriculum is quite updated and can be helpful to crack competitive exams and government exams. There are no extra exams conducted other than mid term and semested end exams

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships are mandatory to do as part of Curriculum in 3rd year. Mostly college internships are limited to Computer science students . The major companies include amazon and JP Morgan Chase which gives stipend of around 70000 per month. This year blue star gave internship for EEE students for 20000.

Placement Experience

5

The placements are very good in VNR . Last year approx 90% of students got placed in various companies with minumum package of 3LPA. Highest package in history of VNR is 96LPA . Many product based companies like amazon , microsoft and oracle visit vnr. Core companies like Hitachi , Bluestar, L&T etc visit for Students. I am planning to get placed in a software company.

Fees and Financial Aid

I actually completed my intermediate from a government college which gave me a full fee reimbursment. But as far as i know for my year the fixed tuition fee was 131000 per year. There was a yearly fee of 12000 named as miscellaneous fee which everyone need to pay regarless of reservation and reimbursement. So therefore my overall college fee is 12000*4 (48000).

Campus Life

5

The main technical fest of VNR is Convergence which usually happens in December and inter college sports fest is conducted every year in november or december. The cultural fest Sintillashunz is very popular in Hyderabad and is conducted every year in March. There is a huge library of plenty of books and peaceful environment and every classroom is equipped with a projector . Studnet run clubs like dance club , singing club, photography club and social clubs like NSS and Student force are very active,.

Admission

Previously in first round of couselling i got GRIET EEE, when i researched about VNR i found there is a slight edge for VNR in terms of college life and placements so during the next round i gave options again and got VNR EEE. I got through EAMCET counselling and my rank was 18000 around.

Faculty

5

As far as i know the faculty student ratio is 1:30 . The faculty is very friendly and always tries to maintain good relationships with students. But if the students are very problematic they wont hesitate to show their power. Most of the faculty have good subject knowledge and good teachers. Some of the faculy i like are Ramesh Babu sir, Neelima Mam , Madhuri mam and Devulal sir. Faculty members I do not like are Vamsi sir because he is very unfriendly and failed so many people from our class since he was disappointed. The exams are very easy and the questions in the sem exams can be easily exected.

Night Life

4

No students are allowed in classrooms after 6pm unless there is a solid permission from faculty . The cafeteria and gym generally close before 6pm . The security is very high and always active. Famous hangout places include canteen, sinti stage and jsk greens. The locality is pretty safe to roam around night

In convener qouta so i have no chance to choose branch or college . If i have a chance to change college defintly i will .In this college first the mindset of the founder, director should change from school pattern to college pattern and they should focus on college implementation not in students personal issues .The exams will happen after every 4 months in between 2 months internals will be conducted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good as of now. But can change a little bit becuase in 4 years we will have 8 sems and 40 subjects. Subjects should be divided in such a way that it should not get burden on the students. In some sems they will just 4 or 3 subjects that will effect other sems by having 7or 8 subjects at a time. That is really tough to clear all subjects at a time that may leave pressure on the students. And another suggestion in teaching methods was therotical class and practical class has to be done parallelly because if theory classes of particular topic has been completed in this week and pratical classes of that particular topic will be executed in some other week lab sessions. That may create confusion in students and there might get forgot what they have learnt in that week. If the theory and practical classes happened parallely they will gain hands on experience on how the things will work and they can understand more better.
