EFLU - A Brand

Dislikes

  • There isn't a lot of exposure due to the limited amount of people on campus.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The courses offered and the entire curriculum is based on the mandatory education required to persue furth academic persuits that allows the students to reach a level of understanding to direct their interests in their respective fields. Frequency and timings of the exams are based on the completion of specific amount of topics. Exams are easy to moderate that allow the students to score good marks upon having basic to advanced level understanding of the topics.

Internships Opportunities :

As of now, I haven't gotten internships from the University. The University wprovide with internships at the end of Second Year of Bachelor's. We can also do internships at in our local cities and submit the certificate to the university as well as a report about he internship. There are multiple topics offered to us in the syllabi of the courses that allow us to do internships in multiple fields, ranging from Content Writing and Creating to Linguistic.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible from 6th semester onwards. The highest package someone has gotten through the college placement cell is of 12 LPA. Generally, 60% of the studnets get placement through the college placement cell.

Campus Life :

We celebrate the cultural fests as well as cultural events like World Space Day on 1st August, World Heritage Week in late November, etc. The library holds over 20,000 books and journals that is of free access in library timings, along with that, we have an e-library that is available for the students 24/7. We also have Literary Club, Film Club, Music Club and Cultural Club. We also have a literary online magazine named MuzePad.

The hostels are well equipped with personal beds, a personal study table, a cupboard, a chair with electricity 24/7. The washrooms get cleaned twice a day. And the water filter supposedly gets cleaned every 1 and a half months. The registration for the hostel happens right after you get the admission in the university.

Admission :

I applied to Banaras Hindu University and got accepted on the main campus but I wanted to parsue my bachelor's degree from The English and Foreign Languages University because for my course, this university is deemed to be one of the bests. The admission process begins from applying to the university through CUET Registration Form and based on your scores in the English Test and the General Test, you get shortlisted. An email is sent to the students' IDs and the cut offs are released by the university soon after the completion of the exam.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is 1:20 which allows every student to get equal amount of attention from the faculty and a learning ground for students of all kinds. The internal examinations are held thrice during a semester and then there are end of semester examinations. The exam pattern are set to have everything we study during the courses. The material, i.e., the syllabus, notes recommended and study materials offered for each course are relevant for not only the internal or the end of semester examinations but also very helpful in preparations for competitive examinations that students will be taking further ahead in their student lives.

Interview Experience :

There was an interview about why we want to take admission in EFLU, Lucknow. They asked us questions about our academics and also about what we want to pursue in the future that lead us to take the decision to become a part of this institution.

Night Life :

We have a lot of food spots ranging from very cheap to elite fine dine establishments. We also have a reception area where we can sit and chat. We have to be at the campus at 10 PM and inside the hostel after 11 PM.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course structure was well designed and updated with the ongoing preparations of government exams which helped me alot in my preparations as everywhere polity is something that is a mandatory one and hence the curriculum plus the overall teaching pattern the timing of exams and the level of difficulty was moderate if someone had attended all the classes, plus the marking scheme was a bit hard and other aspects like attendance was also included, however there's no such compulsion that one must attend the classes this was only applicable for sessionals

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the course can be divided into three parts as this is a 3-year course. Every year has 2 semesters and the course in total has 6. The first semester is usually spent on subjects like understanding psychology and other non related subjects like AI. The first-year curriculum could have been put to better use instead of teaching us nonrelated subjects as that cut off the rhythm that could have been building and when we came to 2nd year the first year looked like a complete waste. The 2nd year comparatively was better and more productive the curriculum rhythm was better and as we slid into 3rd year the curriculum became more productive and helpful.
