- The syllabus to the courses offered to us each semester is helpful in the understanding of the courses and helps us prepare for further examinations after graduation.
- The fee structure is affordable to even low income families and for those who need help, there are scholarships that they could apply for.
Dislikes
- There isn't a lot of exposure due to the limited amount of people on campus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The courses offered and the entire curriculum is based on the mandatory education required to persue furth academic persuits that allows the students to reach a level of understanding to direct their interests in their respective fields. Frequency and timings of the exams are based on the completion of specific amount of topics. Exams are easy to moderate that allow the students to score good marks upon having basic to advanced level understanding of the topics.
Internships Opportunities :
As of now, I haven't gotten internships from the University. The University wprovide with internships at the end of Second Year of Bachelor's. We can also do internships at in our local cities and submit the certificate to the university as well as a report about he internship. There are multiple topics offered to us in the syllabi of the courses that allow us to do internships in multiple fields, ranging from Content Writing and Creating to Linguistic.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible from 6th semester onwards. The highest package someone has gotten through the college placement cell is of 12 LPA. Generally, 60% of the studnets get placement through the college placement cell.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Semester III Tuition fees: 24800 Rs Caution fees: 5000 Rs (one time refundable payment at the time of completion of course) Registration fees: 205 Rs (one time payment - at the time of registration for the course) Student Wellfare Fund: 1070 Hostel fees : 2400 per year (hostel registration plus 12 month payment) Batchmates with reserved categories of ST/SC/OBC have the same fees for everything else other than Tuition fees which is reduced to 1565. Medical fees per year : 485 Rs Examination fees per year: 265 Rs
Campus Life :
We celebrate the cultural fests as well as cultural events like World Space Day on 1st August, World Heritage Week in late November, etc. The library holds over 20,000 books and journals that is of free access in library timings, along with that, we have an e-library that is available for the students 24/7. We also have Literary Club, Film Club, Music Club and Cultural Club. We also have a literary online magazine named MuzePad.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels are well equipped with personal beds, a personal study table, a cupboard, a chair with electricity 24/7. The washrooms get cleaned twice a day. And the water filter supposedly gets cleaned every 1 and a half months. The registration for the hostel happens right after you get the admission in the university.
Admission :
I applied to Banaras Hindu University and got accepted on the main campus but I wanted to parsue my bachelor's degree from The English and Foreign Languages University because for my course, this university is deemed to be one of the bests. The admission process begins from applying to the university through CUET Registration Form and based on your scores in the English Test and the General Test, you get shortlisted. An email is sent to the students' IDs and the cut offs are released by the university soon after the completion of the exam.
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is 1:20 which allows every student to get equal amount of attention from the faculty and a learning ground for students of all kinds. The internal examinations are held thrice during a semester and then there are end of semester examinations. The exam pattern are set to have everything we study during the courses. The material, i.e., the syllabus, notes recommended and study materials offered for each course are relevant for not only the internal or the end of semester examinations but also very helpful in preparations for competitive examinations that students will be taking further ahead in their student lives.
Interview Experience :
There was an interview about why we want to take admission in EFLU, Lucknow. They asked us questions about our academics and also about what we want to pursue in the future that lead us to take the decision to become a part of this institution.
Night Life :
We have a lot of food spots ranging from very cheap to elite fine dine establishments. We also have a reception area where we can sit and chat. We have to be at the campus at 10 PM and inside the hostel after 11 PM.
