Chinmaya's Review On Tinsukia College, Tinsukia

Course Curriculum Overview :

I believe the course curriculum was very student-friendly and suited for us. Easy language was used. I remember we used to visit computer labs in practical lectures to practise the computer programs, languages, and coding.

Placement Experience :

I was not interested in placements as I was planning on taking up another course after graduation. I wanted to complete my Master's degree, then open my start-up. Anyway, I did hear that there were no campus placements in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The one-year fees of my course was ?23,000, so the total cost for three years was ?67,000. It included tuition fees, other extra charges, and a registration fees of ?1,000 at the beginning of the first year.

Campus Life :

There was a fitness centre where we could focus on staying fit and healthy. We had library to find references, extra books, to research. Labs were used to sometimes pass time during free time, and other times for research.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is available. There was a girls' hostel attached close to campus. Its total fees was ?7,000 for a year. Merit and distance of students from their residence were considered while allotting rooms.

Admission :

I was delighted to see that there was no entrance test to be given because I was already tired of giving board exams. We filled up the application form online, then went to the college to complete formalities.

Faculty :

The professors were kind and caring, and treated us like their own children. They were all emotional when we graduated. They taught us with such dedication that the half part of learning was completed in lectures only.

The course curriculum is good. It prepared me for real-world applications and further academic pursuits. Now I am pursuing MCA Suggested improvements would be to add more projects to teach to students to give real time practice and modern teachings. Exams are frequent and of moderate difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I like it.There is no any specific aspects regarding my subject. From class 12 onwards I like my subject economics and so I persude this course. The timing of our exams are ok . But according to difficulty level it is moderate. I don't think that there is any area that need to be improved regarding the course.

Placement Experience:

The placement in NIT Silchar is decent. You will be eligible for placement from the 4th year but you will be associated with the T&P cell from the 3rd year. The companies which came for placements in 2022 are Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore, Larsen and Toubro, Bharat Electronics Limited, Amazon Web Services, Vedanta Resources Limited, Make My Trip, etc. The highest package is 44 LPA in 2022 offered by Amazon Web Services and the average package is 15-16 LPA. Almost 95% of students get placed in CSE & and 90% in ECE, followed by EIE whereas in other branches the percentage is low. After getting the degree, I will be seating for placements and getting a Job Of course.

Placement Experience:

Don't worry about placements, they are quite good. Our campus highest package this year is 2.5 cr/annum There are many other stats on our official website, you can refer to that. Mostly many people get interns in their 5th or 6th sem and get placed at the end of the 7th sem. I will talk more about this after going the second year atleast

Placement Experience:

In my course after the 7th semester, we are eligible for campus placements. Sun Pharma is the top pharmaceutical company that comes to make offers along with other companies. After a bachelor degree, the highest you can expect is a 3 - 4 LPA. I don't know for sure but almost 60% students get placement. I am going to complete my masters after getting bachelor degree.
