Course Curriculum Overview

4

1. The course that I have chosen is B.Com(h) as I studies Commerce in higher secondary. 2. The course is interesting and prepares for real life applications and employment in the corporate sector really well. 3. The content of textbooks is very well written, we just need good faculty for teaching it. 4. Semester exams happend once a semester with medium level difficulty.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am currently pursuing B.com(h) and my course fees is Rs. 28435 per year for a period of 3 years, as I would be graduating in 2027. This amount is inclusive of all relevant charges and was paid in one go. I am not aware of the fee taken from my batchmates of other categories, and according to my information there is no concession in the fees for other categories as they have already got a huge concession in marks and have reached prestigious colleges with less marks, despite them being financially abled students.

Campus Life

5

1. There are a lot of fests such as Hr Conclave, Ascend, Bequest and several more. They happen during the end months of the year such as November and December. 2. The Library is extremely large as has several copies of books from all coursed and fields. 3. There are less technological equipments and you have to carry your own laptops. 4. There is a big ground for outdoor sports activities. 5. There are a lot of college societies, more than 66, from different fields ranging from marketing, consulting, sports to culinary arts, literature, painting and much more.

Admission

1. I applied in Hindu College and Sri Ram College of Commerce just because they have a good name. 2. I didn't make it there because of slightly less CUET score. I scored 770 and the cut off for hindu was 776 and SRCC was 782. 3. It was and online admission process with online fee payment and online verification of documents.

Faculty

4

1. They provide 1 teacher for 95 students. The probability of a faculty being approachable is 1 in 3, which is an average number. Most of the faculties are rude and unfriendly atleast for the first semester. 2. I really liked my financial accounting teacher, Preetinder Kaur and economics teacher, Kopal Gupta as they are approachable and teach well. 3. The business law faculty, R.C Garg and Management teacher, Sudesh Kumari are not good as they do not listen and are very controlling. 4. There are internal exams and some assignments, and then semester exams which are medium in difficulty.

Night Life

4

1. There are 5 eating area inside the college, which includes one cafe set up by students. 2. The campus closes at 7 pm and opens at 7 am. 3. There are a lot of hangout places such as LP inside the college and Starbucks, McDonald's, Burger King outside the college.

Placement Experience:

To be honest , unlike north campus shaheed bhagat singh evening college does not have strong campus placemnets . Wipro , TCS , Genpact and many other companies visited in 5th - 6th semester . their average package is around 1-2 lakhs per annum only . highest package would be around 3 lakh per annum . 10-20% of students gets placed only . my plan is to prepare for MBA for further studies while persuing some internships , or any data analytics or business analytics course , depending upon the interest .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d say the B.Com (Hons.) curriculum is quite relevant and covers important subjects like Accounting, Finance, Law, and Management, which was one reason I chose this course. It does build a strong base for CA, MBA, or govt. exams, but some parts still feel too theory-based and outdated. DU should add more practical exposure, case studies, and industry-linked content. We usually have internals mid-semester and finals at the end — they’re manageable if you study regularly, but tricky if left for the last minute.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In class 12 I took Commerce so that's the reason I choose B.Com for Graduation . and doing B.Com from DU SOL is best option for me because only 2 days are for classes and rest days I can do other things and also prepare for Government Exam. I choose is course because I want to work for government banks so B.Com provide a foundation for banking terms and give a clear understanding related to Finance. B.Com includes subjects like Finance Accounting, Company law, Income tax law and practice ,etc. B.Com is a good course for students who want to go in the field for Finance or Accounting ,etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I was from a commerce background and it is easy for me to understand the subjects in BCOM rather than any other course .The teacher to student ratio is 1:40.The faculty of IGNOU is highly qualified and experienced but their teaching method is not so good . The exams tooks place twice in a year i.e semester exams. Students whose concepts are clear and studied nicely will easily clear the exams .
