Course Curriculum Overview :

curriculum is same as mbbs for 3 years with so many practicals dentistry is artistic course so if we woudnt love this practicals it will be hectic for u otherwise it is ok ok . there 3 sessional examination before university examination

Internships Opportunities :

internship opporrunities are available intership is in our own hospital so it is nice stipend we get nowadays is 6340 per month but leave is not allowed for special occasions we can practise in 9 departments during this period

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

330640 is college fee and special fee is 32000 and hostel is about 51000 No scholarships or financial aids for reservation students they have no fee they have only mess food fee that is of 4200 per month

Campus Life :

There are no monthly events eventhough there is sports day and arts day but it is not at all good according to our fees the campus life is very poor No enjoyment and relaxation due to everyone running behind the academics

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel is good its like apartment type each room contain 3 students and a shelf 3 study tables and 3 chairs and attached bathroom Cooler and filter also present hostel has good ambience and a small playground is present infront of hostel

Admission :

Admission is taken by Neet and Keam marks so admission is quiet easy the college is NAAC accrediated and the college has good patients so its clinical exposure is quit better than other colleges in kerala

Faculty :

course curriculum is bit tough but mentorship and teachers are supportive in academics. we can approach them in anytime they are so kind All faculties are good and friendly one mentors for 10 students so we can open up with our member its so supportive and releasestress

Interview Experience :

no group discussion interview or other test for entering college that is only based on Neet and keam exam so there is no preparation for admission only the criteria is passing for neet and keam exam admission process is simple

Course Curriculum Overview:

No one tells you the dark side of the course or even if they do little do we understand..this course is never as expected..it requires a lot of patience, and strength to hold on yourself when the whole campus is against you and you have to work as a one man army. it's just powerpoint presentation and reading it aloud in class and it's done...it we who have to work. There are 2-3 internal exam but none of these marks are considered for the last University exam...it's all what we score for the final exam..there's another model exam then lots of small tests

Course Curriculum Overview:

Sometimea they fail to make understand the topics rather they just come and dictate it in the class. A teacher friendly atmosphere is hard to find Some teaching staffs are so friendly but still there are staffs who has a hard behaviour towards students

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are frequent exams and works from beginner level to moderate to assess ourselves and helps to be more skilled, this Bds course requires a good hand skill which is obtained through practice only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our bds curriculum is too systamatically divised and followed in the college. It covers most of the clinical as well as theoretical aspects of the subject which prepares us for the real challenges. And when it comes to the exams it is moderately difficult. 3 exams will be there including the models conducted 1 and half months apart which is followed by a final university exam regulated by kuhs. But i would suggest to improve the current curriculum in order to include modern advancements in our field which definitely can't be achieved through teaching using primitive ways like presentations etc.

Placement Experience:

There is few placements provided for UG students in college . Around 5% got placement in college. Thus after graduation we need to search for job in other clinics or we can go abroad fir further studies or job

Course Curriculum Overview:

They complete the portions in time. They conduct module examinations after every chapter and help us with the difficult areas so that during University exams and internal assessment exams we get to perform better. One suggestion is to conduct 2 model examinations. Every three months one internal assessment is conducted plus one model exam 2 months before University exams.

Remarks:

My experience with the Al Azhar Dental College is a mixed batch of feeling. I am pursuing my BDS from the thrissur campus. Academics wise and overall course structure wise it’s quite flexible and educating. But some faculty members are there just as a formality, though the rest of the faculty is quite dedicated. Campus life and the hostel life is also good, but the placements are not good.
