Likes

The library is great in many aspects. Spacious with many resources.
The ambience of the campus, cleanliness and proper maintenance
Cooperative faculties, good balance between academics and other activities.

Dislikes

The overall strength of the college is quite less. Making the campus feel less active.
No campus politics as such. Some strict rules irrespective of the fact that it's a college.
Nowadays most faculties are teachers with not much experience and knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is pretty vast and includes lab and research. College follows the University syllabus, as it is an afflicted college. I wish they included more practical exposure, vastness in research projects.

Class Size: 43Course Fees: INR 22500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Sem wise fees was 11250, there was no particular exams or interview for admission. It was mainly based on the 12th percentage and reservation. Everyone has same feeling structure. There is no scholarship from the college.

Campus Life

There weren't too many events during my time, especially due to the pandemic effect. We celebrated Onam, christmas and college day , ethnic day, valentine's week , arts day and Union day really well. Even though resources for sports are less there are events like LPL, sports day. There are many clubs.

Admission

I applied to Providence College. Then my second preference was this college. This college is in my home town so, I need not necessarily be in a hostel. Back then psychology and social work department was one of the best in Kerala. I hope it's still maintained.

Faculty

In our department there were nearly 10 teachers, and we have not faced any shortage of faculties. There are really experienced and knowledgeable faculties. But there are also some with no experience and much knowledge.

College life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course not because of curriculum.The syllabus is very bad and it doesn't really help to apply in real-world situations.I suggest that the practical exposure must be needed and give chances for students to apply in internships.The timing of exam actually stressed alot in even semesters due to shortage in classes.The faculty rushes to take class and also gives a load of work when the exam is near.

From second years itself companies starts giving placement offers . Also the percentage of placement here is 100% so I hope I will also get placed in a good company and for that there should not be any arriers

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from third semester for the campus placements. There are lots of companies. Most of them are from the IT fields. They selects the best two students from each class based on the first semester mark. Mostly,students with more than 75% marks are allowed to participate for campus placements.
