Remarks :
The only positive remark is that the students passing out are able to get a decent IT job from the campus. There are many negative remarks and the major negative is that the college had a 50 mark internal examination instead of the 25 marks suggested by the University which put unwanted pressure on students
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course was followed as per the VTU syllabus. CMRIT is affiliated to VTU and had followed the fees structure of VTU( vishweshwariah technical university) The fees structure was yearly fee structure. The students under management quota had to pay 3 times more fees than the students qualified through CET exam The college had a 50 mark internal examination instead of the 25 marks suggested by the University which put unwanted pressure on students as they have to write 3 internal exams and the cutoff was more
Placement Experience :
The placements were provided only in IT field and there was no proper placement assist in core engineering fields. The college also provided various internship programs in several small companies to students. There is a stipend given to bright students for weaker economic background
College Events :
The most exciting event celebrated every year is the intra college cultural fest called the cultura which is one of the best college event in Bangalore There were other exciting events like ethnic day, founders day, cultural and technical fests conducted by various department
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees is feasible for the students qualified through the CET exam but the students under management quota were playing a higher fees which was very expensive in a middle class point of view. The fees structure followed was a yearly system
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is a loan facility for the students from economically weaker section to pay the fees in instalment but to avail this was very difficult as it had a big procedure There is a scholarship given to the bright students from economically weaker side every year
Campus Life :
The extracurricular activities were okay The campus don't have a big ground for outdoor activities but there is a good basketball court and a volleyball court. The only indoor sports available to play is table tennis. The labs were well equipped with latest software and hardware There are various clubs like dance club, music club, nature club and many others that arrange various extracurricular activities to make the students engaged
Hostel Facilities :
I had opted for hostel facility in the first year but found the fees to be very expensive for the services provided. The food provided in the hostel was worst and most of the students will opt out of hostel after first year The other infrastructure provided in the hostel were decent with good security. The hostel wardens were friendly and had a good management skills
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network is very good and they conduct a get together every year and also help the present students in placements and also provide them counselling. The college doesn't entertain the senior passed out students to visit the campus everytime so the alumni network has a less access to the present activities in college
Faculty :
The faculty were well qualified but lacked good interaction skills with students apart from one or two teachers. The teaching staffs also failed in motivating students to reach greater heights as most of the students never realised their true potential during the course
