- No doubt this college give you environment to achieve success. Along with that social interaction is very good as NIET clubs are very active.
- NIET has good quality of faculties. They are very supportive and few have industry experience too.
Dislikes
- They have another campus for 1st year student. So for the 1st year it is very hard to interact with seniors.
- There are some unnecessary subjects in 1st year like COI (Constitution of India).
Course Curriculum Overview :
•NIET's curriculum is updated as it is an autonomous college. So they update their curriculum as they want. • Real world application, there is a subject Design Thinking which includes real world application and give us new area to thought. • Frequency of tests and exam in 1st year is little hectic.
Internships Opportunities :
There are some very good intership opportunity given through the college (Companies like Infosys, Accenture etc). But most of the time students have to find internship themselves. Most of the students get intership through small IT companies or startups.
Placement Experience :
After passing 6th semester you're eligible for placements with certain criterias like attendance, etc. This year the height package was 26 lakh from Zscalar Around 80-95% college students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to join a good reputed IT company.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
•The total fee of the BTech course is 1,79,100 for 1st year. Then from next year I have to pay 1,55,700 for the rest 3 years • Tution fee is 1,18,400. Other than that 7,500 is external exam fee. 4,000 is internal exam fee. 5,000 security money. 4,800 is registration fee. 5,000 is students welfare fee. TBL is 8,600. Department of society & outresearch activity fee is 7600. Career planning and technical grooming fee is 7,800. 5,000 is Earnest money against training and placement. 5,400 is institute industry interface fee. That's makes a total of 1,79,100 • Btech lateral entry tuition fee is 95,900 for 1st 2 years and 86000 for the last year. BCA and BBA costs 70,000 per year. • College provide Bihar students credit card scheme.
Campus Life :
Campus life is okay okay. There are only 1-2 festival happen in college. Like Jugmag. It is easy to access library. And we get most of the books through library. There is no Air conditioned classrooms. AC is only available in labs and library. There are many clubs which conducts extra curricular activities. Many technical clubs which organise hackathons and all. There are some cultural club, hobbies club, sports clubs and most of them are super active.
Hostel Facilities :
In the 1st year there is only 3 seater rooms available for boys. They are non air conditioned. The boys hostel is newly made so it is spacious and very nice. Mess meal is okay. We can eat them easily. Registration is easy at the time of admission. You have to pay full payment once. 1st year college hostel is in different campus which is 2-3 km away from 1st year college.
Admission :
There were many college which was offering me CSE core. But I choose to take admission here as it is an autonomous institution it has its own updated syllabus and everything. Admission process, there are 2 ways to take admission. 1st one is through UPTAC/AKTU counselling. 2nd one is direct admission, which they give on your previous academic score like 12th boards. They take 85% admission through counselling and rest 15% from merit based direct admission
Faculty :
• Faculties are very supportive in NIET. Some of them have industry experience. So they know what a company wants and they focus on that. • In 1st year we have mathematics faculty. He is very good at teaching. • As of now I haven't found any reason to dislike any faculty. • There are many small weakly tests. And 3 CT (Seasonals) before every semester exam. They decide your internal marks as per your sessional marks and your attendance. It has 85% attendance criteria which is too much. Curriculum is little updated. It includes DT(Design Thinking) etc
