Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is comprehensive and interrelated to various subjects. The faculty in the college are understanding in nature, and they provide us with breaks in between the class and ensure the holistic development of the children.

Internships Opportunities

Our college provides internship facilities in 3rd semester and real-life experiences in the school in 1st and 2nd semester. We can learn a lot from this internship and it helps us in becoming successful future teachers.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees - Rs. 90,800 University fees - Rs. 20,000 Activity fees - Rs. 1,000 Security - Rs. 10,000 (Refundable after completion of B.Ed.) Total = Rs. 1,21,800 This fee structure is applicable only for the session 2024 - 25

Campus Life

The GNCE College provides us with various opportunities in which we can excel like music, painting, sports, etc. The college focus on the overall development of the child like cognitive, social, emotional, physical, etc.

Admission

I chose the college - "Guru Nanak College of Education" because it is NAAC Graded "A+" college. It is equipped with lots of facilities in the library and various subject rooms. Teachers encourage students to develop practical knowledge, instead of rote learning.

Faculty

The faculty members in the college are very supportive, and caring. They take care of the needs of the student. The internal exams is of 20 marks and the rest is external in which we need to go to other colleges to give the exam.

Poor infrastructure, average faculty and not-so-happening campus life

Placement Experience:

Students in B.ed course become eligible to take jobs in the last semester i.e 4th semester. The college does not provide any placement in our course instead students themself have to mail and contact different schools to secure a teching job. Average package a student can expect depends on many factors like their subjects, qualifications and skills. On an average one can expect around 6lpa in private sector. For securing jobs in government schools Students have to clear exams like DSSSB etc where average package ranges from 10 -12 lpa. Many of my seniors are doing jobs in private schools as techers while some teach online and have their you tube channels. I am planning to do masters in English literature from DU to increase my knowledge and job opportunities.

Placement happens every year in my college, 98%, sometimes 80%, but the salary is not that good and we have to work more, due to which we are not able to meet our expenses properly, still some children are left out of helplessness
