- Too much importance on attendance. If you are under 75% for the semester then you have to pay 2000rs to write the exams
- Lack of drinking water facilities. The outdoor facilities are often occupied by monkeys
Course Curriculum Overview :
In my course, the amount of memorizing content is a lot while also having enough room to for the critical thinking. Most of the useful courses are in the final year which might strain the student a bit. The exams are fairly easy and relevant to the study materials.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fees for a year is 49500rs. This includes the exam fees which generally ranges from 1600-2200rs. There are scholarships for students of ST/SC/OBC. I've heard that the fees for Visual communication course is around 90000 per year. There is also merit scholarship in however the amounts aren't disclosed to us
Campus Life :
The library computers are broken most of the time. My college focuses mostly on sports only such as cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, hockey, badminton, kho-kho and even kabaddi. The clubs include environment club, Nss and NCC
Admission :
The reason I chose this college is because I did not have any other options. In terms of infrastructure this college lacks in a lot of areas and area wise also it is not that big. The admission is fairly simple. If you have good grades in 12th you receive a call up mail from the college. If not then the student and go and enroll directly in the college
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:25. The faculty is easily accessible including deans however it takes efforts to meet principal, vice principal or the general secretary. In a semester there are a total of 3 exams. 2 are internal exams with 50 and 100 marks respectively. The external exam is also 100 marks. The curriculum is fairly OK but needs tweaking to match with current trends and subjects.
