- The college has more to to offer than any other college of same tier. College has festives running evertime by any of the departments which can be enjoyed. College has many cafes, restaurants, etc. The college has a lot of supermarkets and stores.
- Leisures and activities has a great place. College ground can be used by anyone. Can hang around late in the college. Also has a lot of options down the town. The palce has famous food joints and beach is nearby. KFC, McDonald's, pizzahut etc
Dislikes
- Parking was a major issue but has been taken care of. Some can't bring in loud vehicles inside campus and should park outside which is also safe.
- Infrastructure and facilities of some departments are comparatively less presentable.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have a major in AI ML and the syllabus is very acceptable. The college conduct seminars, competitions etc to help learn better and understand the present influences of the course offered. Semester is very free and you get a lot of time to prepare for exams.
Internships Opportunities :
Interships are offered by performance and qualifications. Barclays, tcs, startups and alrger tech giants offer interships. Students get around average 1 lakh for 2 month intership. Interships are where students are given tasks as a group or are invited to work with professionals.
Placement Experience :
Placement has a great value. The department is excellent with contacts all over the world. The students for 3rd year can apply for Placement and internships . Microsoft ,google, meta, tcs and many startups join the Placement quest. Students with excellent skills and qualifications are hired by top companies and some are offered interships. Intership is reviewed for job later. The college helps to get master's degree in top colleges by also helping them. The international relations office helps students have a vision on their new college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
SRM has scolarship based on SRMJEE rank and fee is waived off by ranks recieved. Also has scholarship for civil servants etc . Total tution fee and hostel fee will be waived off for higher ranks in srmjee. For mid range tution fee will be waived off.
Campus Life :
Campus life is awesome in srm university, the palce is running on festivals and programs which are solely managed by student affairs committee. There are a lot of fields offered by different clubs and culturals and techno management fests are made every now and then. The annual cultural fest Milan is a huge hit and has famous figures attend. The fest stays for 3 or more days. All groups are student run and has community groups of language speakers, gym goers etc
Admission :
SRM is an open society. The colleges like vit chennai has a strict structure and timing which is a rope tued to the neck. Srm has a open casual dressing allowed to campus. One can easily get into srm through management or entrance exam. Easy curriculum and enjoyable college. More fun to study.
Faculty :
The faculties are very approachable and almost many faculties are friendly even though they keep a serious persona while in classroom. The teacher in nano physics called venkata was really nice and helped very much giving extra sessions and all. Some faculties, a minority has trouble speaking english. The faculty advisors of some department are slower to inform things in college. College news travels faster by word. Exams are easily passable for even someone who are back in studies. However if you are asked to secure 50 percent in internals so you can have easy times in semester exams. The courses offered are very relevant.
