  • The students here are so ill-mannered. Environment is totally ruined because of them in the mornings.
  • Dress is mandatory for the students. I-cards are checked on the entry gate. Even shoes are not allowed of your own choice. Dress is not that comfortable either.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is not that vivid or usefull in our course as what actually matters in the end is your skills and confidence, try to work more on yourself during those years. There should be more practical work included and implemented. There was a practical subject, very last year, and the software needed for that was not provided. But you should be vocal about that and your teachers will help you in anyway(we have needed softwares this year). The exams here are too easy to crack. And if you want to top or something then solve previous year papers or just question bank which will be provided (it's a tested and prooved formula for me ). Remember, that this course is just for your image building and building you a good circle of people and contacts that will help you in achieving your dreams in future.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fee is 40k, which will be applicable for the percentage-wise reduction in the fees. But there are lot of other charges that compiles to around 10-15k. Registration fee is 2000 (non-refundable). The uniform charges were 7k but they have increased this year. Same with the tution fees and bus charges. You can avail government scholarship by applying for it through upscholarship.gov.in (for UP students). This scholarship is most probably to come if election our coming (our teacher says so). You can get merit based scholarship. Like I got a 20 percent off on the tution fee with 70 percent in twelth standard (boards). 25 percent concession was available for the person with minimum 80 percent marks in boards and 30 percent concession for the person with more than 90 percent marks in board examinations. There is a huge trend of rewards-giving is going on in our university. Like you get rewad for highest attendance, highest percentage(course academics), most usefull research and what no

Campus Life :

The alumini meet that is conducted annually near the month of April is a must attend event. It is so happening. All your pass out seniors will be there. This event is basically for them. And the students perform in different genre. Students are also rewarded accordingly. This is mostly a night program that starts from 5pm and goes till around 9. An annual fest is also conducted on the university level, which is okayish, but so happening. Other than all this there are a number of programs that are conducted every year. There are a range of books available in the central library. But there aren't really much books provided for the academics. There are a number of extracurricular activities provided in the university . Namely swimming, horse riding, shooting, gym, cricket, basketball and much more.

Admission :

I didn't really applied for any other college. As this was the only college in Meerut which was offering BAJMC course, other than Vidya. And IIMTU was much cheaper than Vidya and actually better too. And I don't regret my choice even a bit. Well about admission process, You just have to go the college and reach to the respective teacher of your course and they'll instruct you about everything. Then the only thing you have to do is pay the fee and submit the needed documents like Aadhar card, caste certificate, transfer certificate, marksheet, etc. You can also submit the documents afterwards if you want to. You can actually get admission in this course with any percentage in twelth, you just need to pay the fee.

Faculty :

Our course namely BAJMC, is actually one of theleast opted courses of the university. Our class have almost 14 students and around 7 teachers are to help us in different subjects. Although they're all all-rounders and can teach anything other than their own specialization. If you are going to opt for the same course, try to maintain your bond with the person in charge for the recording and editing department. They are mostly the previous year students and can help you in various things and let you know about how things actually work over there. Main Exams are conducted semester wise. And every semester has two sessionals. It is important to attend at least one. One with the highest marks is counted. Almost everybody is able to pass the exams. Cheating work at its peak. Teachers themselves help students through their phones Don't only depend on the curriculum, that is not something that will land you into the carrier of your dreams. Trust your gut.

From 4th semester you can start looking for internship and campus placements. There are various companies like ndtv, aajtak, advertising companies and other such visit the campus but there hardly are few companies for proper journalism. Average package was only 15lpa while highest was 23 lpa. The number of students that got placed is only 30%. I want to peruse my masters in public relations.

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college is average as there is no MNC coming for the placements and there is no helping by the faculty in this matter and most of the jobs offered are for the bba or bca students so it is really difficult for a BJMC student to get nice job here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was particularly interested in media studies which led me to choose this course specifically. Although an individual section holds only about 50-60 students, ASCO accommodates thousands of students under different sections and courses such as BJMC International and Evening. Despite a huge lot, teachers are available for your queries and doubts outside the class. Most of the faculty is well qualified with PhD degrees and/or intensive experience in relative fields. Apart from qualification it majorly depends on the dedication of the faculty which is spread across a vast spectrum. Semester exams always followed the schedule and were conducted without any delay. Exams are relatively easy to pass.
