Likes

The infrastructure is very very nice as compared to the other colleges of bihar
Education system and facilities are very nice
Management is very good . The process is well understood. Staffs are cooperative

Dislikes

Less ward teaching . There is no much exposure in the 1st and 2nd year .
You need to run all along for the facilities to avail
Caste system and groupism is privileged . Some of the facilities do discriminate on the basis of caste

Course Curriculum Overview

No doubt MBBS course is very vast in itself. It's requires patience time and endurance. Yes it sucks. But at the end you will be a doctor. A good clinician . If one balance life health and study properly its gonna be a piece of cake .

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

70000/ year is the fee of MBBS. It depends on the duration of the year in which you are studying. Eg- 1st year MBBS is of 14 months so fees is approx 1lakh 21thousand for general/ obc. Nd 1 lakh 11 thousand for sc/st .... 2nd year MBBS is of 13 months so 70000 for all the categories. ..no benefits here and so on . On availing the clg you can apply for post matric scholarship or national schorship test .

Campus Life

The campus is very big . New bigger departments are on construction. New hospital and beds are increased. It's has its own badminton court , different sports activities including all indoor and outdoor games. College also organises it's fest CEREBRAXIA every year for fun entertainment and exposure.

Hostel Facilities

Girls get their hostel alloted in the 1st year itself ( some get double seated and some of them get single seated room from the 1st year itself ) . From 2nd year onwards each and every one gets their single room alloted. The hostel fee is 20k per annum. However the mess facility is not so satisfactory.

Admission

Igims being govt medical college is associated with nmc terms and guidelines. It follows all the prospectus of nmc like all other colleges. For coming into the mbbs , first you need to clear neet . After neet counselling process goes on (both all india counseling and state ) then you get into the college

Faculty

Yes , Igims is very well in its exams and curriculum. It always completes it's syllabus in time . There are so many faculty members available 9 to 5 to resolve all your doubts and are always ready to help me .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exams is a headache to be honest . There is 1 semester coming up within every 4 to 5 weeks which makes it stressful for us. Moreover the teaching methods are decent. This course is indeed a challenging one!

Placement Experience:

From internship stipend is provided by college. Different hospital are visiting at college for placement, or u can seperately take any hospital by self. For JR highest package is 1.5 lakh till now and lowest is 70-80 thousand. Maximum student got there hospital if they want. After completing course, i join hospital as JR and prepare for PG exam.

Actually most or the time our honorary director arrange the big company like Appolo to come in our campus and do interview for employment .Students after 7th semester are eligible for interview and I am expected to give it next year. From All india counseling i get AIIMS deoghar but then result of state counseling came and i had been allotted IGIMS patna I choose IGIMS patna over AIIMS deoghar because IGIMS is well established hospital of bihar and have very good infrastructure and facilities are also experienced At that time AIIMS deoghar was not that established and infrastructure is not built at that time and because of new college i prefer IGIMS patna which is old college of bihar with lots of patients load You can get addmission in IGIMS from Neet UG cutoff in AIQ is around 5000 rank...Read More

IGIMS is one of the best medical colleges in Bihar with top notch infrastructure and best real world teaching experience

I applied for PMCH , NMCH , AIIMS and IGIMS . Initially i got approval from NMCH but it's infrastructure was not at all good according to me . There was only one building and the hospitals and opds were outside the campus half hour away. So i applied for promotion of college and I was approved from IGIMS .
