Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum for Computer Science and related branches is up-to-date, but Data Structures is taught in C language which is a little outdated regarding industries. Exams are easy as questions are asked from notes only. CIEs are held every month and SEE is held 4 months after the start of the semester.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are present after the 2nd year and in the 3rd year in the college. Some companies come and hire some students to provide them with some kind of work related to their branches.

Placement Experience :

Placements for the college for CSE and ECE branches is average to good with an average package of 12-13 LPA. But is it expected to increase a little bit due to recession ending in the market. For other branches, getting placements is a little difficult.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I paid Rs. 2,64,000 for my first and second year in college. Tuition fees for COMEDK students is same for all the CS and Electrical branches. Lab Fees was around Rs. 20000 for the first year. There is reservation for HKR in COMEDK and for SC/ST/OBC in KCET. Fees for KCET is nearly Rs. 100000 per year.

Campus Life :

Phase Shift is held in November or December each year. UTSAV is held in May each year. Phase Shift contains many events in which college or other students can take part. UTSAV is a very big event in which a well-recognised musician is invited each year. Both these events are held in the college premises.

Hostel Facilities :

There are many hostels provided by the college but 2-3 hostels are present pretty far away from the college (>1 km). Many hostels are present within 600m from the college. Only 2-3 hostels are present inside the college campus due to restricted campus area.

Admission :

The placement for BMSCE was a little better than other colleges to which I applied. Also, the batch size was lesser as compared to other colleges. KCET, and COMEDK exams hold admission. KCET is for students who studied in Karnataka and COMEDK a pan-India exam. Management quotas are also present in the college, and after a one-time payment for the branch, students have to pay COMEDK fees.

Faculty :

For new branches like CSE Data Science, CSE IOT & Cybersecurity, CSE Business Systems, there is less faculty but it is increasing every year. There are three Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIEs) and a Semester End Examination (SEE) in each semester.

Positives include Easy transportation, feasibility and Eco friendly. We can see a lot of trees and it motivates the students to plant more and more greens. Canteen is a chitchat destination for most of the students where we spend hours together.
