- Ragging is strictly prohibited, and teacher is very supportive
Dislikes
- No campus life, you can't have so much interaction
- College timing is different everyday and they don't inform us earlier, one night earlier notification come if college is closed
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is good, we have 5 labs of physics, 1 lab has 40 marks and also same for electrical, 5 labs in 1 semester. And our college is affiliated with Makaut so the semester exam takes Makaut and the college gives only internal marks. Lab equipment is a little old, it needs to be changed, due to this we get the wrong reading sometimes and the teacher doesn't understand this problem they simply cut our marks so it needs to be changed. Also, each teacher comes 10 min late everyday and our study hamper this should be improved, the college lift is also busy each time and the classroom don't have AC, in summer we have to face soo much heat
Internships Opportunities :
College is in main kolkatta so intership are offered, many companies visit like tcs, infosys, cognizant and some more, mostly student got placed by mass recruiter, all depends on the student, if you have a skill you can get whooping pakage
Placement Experience :
Placement is average, mostly mass recuriter come like tcs, wipro, but some student also get a very good offers, by own hard work, highest package on campus is approx 17 lpa and avg package is somewhere between 6-7 lpa, in my college IT branch approx 90% student get placed,my plan is to take a degree and start my own startup, from 3rd year student can apply for an internship here
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College is good, but the study is more and less active, for a general total fee is 6 lakh 25 k for cse, and cse specialisation branch, per semester fee is approx 68k amd admission fee ie 80k. Here you will come with the wbjee exam, if you have west Bengal domicile then your fee will be 1/3 rd. The college campus size is 3 acer, with only 2 small playground, but the seniors are good and supportive
Campus Life :
The college has approx 7-8 clubs like a sports club, which is called technotkarsh, iic club called Samarth and so on. Sports are done regularly in college and small events like quizzes and all, our sports club conduct both indoor and outdoor games like cricket, football, chess, tug of war, carrom, suduko, yoga etc. In college you must participate in games because if you participate if will get more points in 4 years you have to score 100 more points
Admission :
I applied for the jee exam but couldn't cracked, they applied for wbjee i got an 8k rank, on that rank I was getting only this college, and a few other, i don't go to Hit Haldia bcoz they are in the village area, reason come here is due to more faculty member in my branch, in IT branch we have 30 faculty member, that's a more reason to come, one more reason is easily accessible of transport, it only take 15 rupee from Kolkata station to my college that's why
Faculty :
In class, we have 1:5 girl's and boy's ratio in the IT branch. In the IT branch, we have 3 labs, 1st is a mechanical workshop, 2nd is a physics workshop, 3rd is an electrical workshop, each workshop is 3 hrs and we have 5 subjects in 1st semester, including basic maths, each class is of 50 min, excluding maths which is of 100 min. All the teachers are good but i mostly like the electrical mam, who is a really good teacher, she taught us very clearly and she wrote everything on the board so that we could understand everything clearly.
