Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure is not up to the mark it should be revised and the teaching methods should be more enhanced. For the integrated science department if you are qualifying the exams properly and getting overall CGPA up to 7 or more than that that will be helpful for your research and development purpose but some corns are there like you cannot apply for b.Ed in Vishwa Bharti university because the course is not considered as doing a b.Ed.

Internships Opportunities :

For the integrated science department there was no placements available for the students. After you complete your post graduation you have to find your own job based on your merit. But you can do 1 year project or dissertation from any university in India.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Sc/St/PWD: 1840? per year General/Obc/EWS: 3000? per year You can avail for scholarships like, Kanyasharee/Swami Vivekanand- stipend will be given if qualified or DST scholarship as applicable or Oasis Scholarship if qualified as given in the website.

Campus Life :

Visva Bharati condoms many festivals mostly every month. As it is also a tourist place Pous Mela is very popular. There are the NCC and NSS campus if you are interested in those you can contact the sports department. Also there are swimming pools and many grounds to play. There are no common union groups for the students as such but there are political groups if you are interested you can join them and do several activities with them. There are many libraries in Vishwa Bharti including one central library where you can get every courses books. Also many department has share own library too.

Hostel Facilities :

The rooms are quite good for some hostels like Amrapali girls hostel. The meal quality was extremely poor because of the vendor. Restrictions are there for the hostels for only girls students but not for the boys hostels

Admission :

I left Bankura Zilla Shardamoni mohila mahavidyapet after 1 month of my BSc Chemistry course because I got selected in the visva Bharati University. I thought that it is a home city and a Central board so it will be more beneficial to study there instead. For our time in 2019 there was no admission exam for the integrated science course only basis of the HS marks is the selection process. But now viswa Bharti is taking the CUET entrance exam for courses. In 2019 the admission experience was overall good. But for now it is a little bit difficult because you have to pass the exam first then if you are there in the merit list then your counselling will be done accordingly.

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio is not up to the mark for many departments such as like integrated science education and research centre or ISERC. They should be more faculties in the streams of Chemistry, physics, biology, math and computer science. Because the lack of the faculties there are many students who fail in the examination the ratio is very high sometimes. Immediate action should be taken to the fake faculties as well as the labs facilities should be increased soon with the atleast 1 lab assistant!

Interview Experience :

No there was no as such interview for the admission at that time but now there is a written exam called CUET. This is called the common University entrance test. Vishwa Bharti contacts it by its own. The question level is moderate to hard sometimes. You have to be properly prepared for the exam to get a chance to study in Visva Bharti.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If the student is quite serious to go for a PHD after completing his MSc from here, I would say it is a great choice but if one is looking for the option to explore some other field after completing his MSc from here, I wouldn't recommend of getting a degree from here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus structure of KU is totally based on the IIT JAM exam syllabus. That helps students very much in future preparation for Ph.D. Also KU offers special classes for competitive exam preparations including SPSC or UPSC as well as helps to get placements in the private sector. And professors are very highly qualified they can teach this syllabus in depth and with care

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took admission in this college in neuroscience with an aspiration to do something in this field as my father suffered from brain stroke 2 times. The curriculum is quite vast and regardless of the fact that a sem should take place after every 6 months this institute wrap up the syllabus in 3 months and expect us to do well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The program curriculum encompasses Biological Sciences as well as it could have been. It is very elaborate comprising every branches from Instrumemtation and Methodologies to Cell Biology, Genetics or Molecular Biology for that matter. You are ought to have three theory papers and two practical and Grand VIVA papers each semester with a total of 4 semesters over two years. In the last semester, you need to prepare your dissertation. The papers include all the basic concepts and their applications and demands hard hours. I believe the syllabus can be relaxed a bit and the number of papers per term expanded and compartmentalised so as to reduce the load of individual papers. All the faculties are very supportive and Friendly and appreciate doubts and queries always.

Admission:

The admission procedure not so simple. It was quite tough. The students got admission in the course only when they cleared West Bengal Post Graduate Applied Nutrition Admission Test [WBPGANAT]. The eligibility criteria was B.Sc or B.Sc (honors) in food and nutrition/dietetics/ food technology with minimum 50%.

Placement Experience:

The college provided placements for each and every students. Most of the students got the placement through the college campus. There were many job opportunities for the courses. About 90% of the students got placement from my batch. Yes, the college also offered internships for the students.

Remarks:

College management- It need more outlook developing. They require more focus on students and their future in careers. R&D is necessary, but job is also essential for some students also. Equal emphasis should be place don both the aspects.
