- The fight among faculty was very irritating
- The party politics is very unhealthy. The left politics is ruining the political atmosphere
- The canteen is not 24 hours. Sometimes the campus is inaccessible
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good. At some points, it needs revision. The subjects feel ancient. The teaching also need to be improved. The typical lecture method is very unhelpful. Instead they should introduce digital learning. Also the course lacks in-hand experience on the subject. Rather than the robotic manual learning there's no activity involved
Fees and Financial Aid
If you have scholarship you don't have to spend a penny to study here. Please make sure to check the scholarships available. Some of them even cover the cost of living and food too. If you belong to school at category a lot of things are free. You can study free of cost without scholarship. The hostel and food is completely free for sc st.
Campus Life
Campus Life was the best part about the whole course. The campus is alive all day. And we can go explore at night. Safe for all genders. Stargazing, swimming and evrything is so much fun. A lot of good food shops around too. Such a bliss
Admission
The issue when compared to other colleges is it doesn't give any future opportunities. It's like life ends with the course and the only option you have is teaching or research. There's no internship or job drive. I didn't apply anywhere else.tge entrance exam is objective. That needs a change too
Faculty
Course is semester system. You have four semester for ma history program. And each semester have a seminar and viva. Course include, ancient, modern and medieval Indian and kerala history. Theres also optional subjects like epigraphy, art and culture, oral history etc. exams are not direct or objective. It's basically about how we approach a subject and analyse it. Also historiography is given stree. The historical events need to be views from a debate point of view. Faculty is good. Professors have good background but they can bring more. Teacher student relationship was okay, cause some teachers were actively involving in students personal life.
