Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I had a interest in economics so i decided to choose this course .As economics has a wider scope in todays world. As economics is full of practical sums and a lil of theory ,the problrms to solve is to different to solve and timjng for our examinination is 2 hr which is difficult for students to manage there time

Internships Opportunities

3

Whatfix-38000 stipend Wipro training drive Corizo company And many more companies provided for internship opportunities and some companies hired for non payed which was a disadvantage for many students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee structure of my college for my combination is 68000 which can be paid in instalments. It can also be paid at one shot if we pay the fee after due date they will charge a fine of 150.My friends are in different combination they have taken commerce which is higher fee structure of them.Sec is a subject which is compulsory for all students we hv to pay 1500 for tht particular subject.i hv not taken nor applied for any scholarship.

Campus Life

5

They is not even a single day tht they wont be any fests or programs in my college. Every day there are many programs held.Mcc is known was its best fashion show ,sports days ,cul week and ethnic days which makes the college days even more interesting. All sources are provided in library ,facilities are excellent provided to students. They is a student council to look after events happening and sports day is held in mount carmel ground were they are inter colleges participation

Admission

My first and last opinion to get admission was mount carmel college. I had heard many things about mcc as its a girl college which would be a comfy environment for girls .i submitted my documents of 2nd puc and i was selected and there was an online interview as tht time covid phrase was going on and after i atrended my interview i got a message tht i was selected and after 2 days i was asked to pay fees

Faculty

5

The faculty provided in my college is just out standing. The facilties are very friendly with students and are very experts in there explanations. I like the faculty of arts and humaties they are very active and organizational in everything. I dont like thefaculty of science. In each sem they are 6 subjects papers are set easy for students which help students to clear it out

Other Applied Colleges

Bishop Cotton Women's Christian College | Master of Arts [MA] (English Literature)

Fee structure was more compared to mcc

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was clear about choosing this stream as after 12th mind was fixed for preparing UPSC-CSE. So curriculum i had was exactly same which u needed!. Geography is very interesting subject and it further broadened my knowledge after i choosed the subject. We needed to write exam twice a year as many of us know it was a semester based. Question papers were of moderate difficulty and competent enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The idea of doing a triple major in one degree is what motivated me to choose this course. English, Political Science and History are interlinked in many ways that we know. Also, the course was primarily curated to help aspiring students for the Public Service Examinations, UPSC and SSC. The course really does an amazing job is getting the students ready for competitive exams.

Placement Experience:

Placements are given in our college for a lot of departments. A senior of ours got placed into Reuters with a very high placement. In the last year, that is the 4th year, you get eligible for campus placement. After I get my degree in History, I will pursue my master's in history from Christ University only or from a foreign college belonging to the Ivy league. After that, I will pursue my PhD in history and also give the Civil Services Examination.

Placement Experience:

For my exact department, campus placements for undergraduate students isn't great, but thats a concern for any college in Media Studies. Companies like Accenture and Bosch do come for roles like HR or Corporate Communications though, and with how the University teaches, employability is pretty high off campus, with students using their network built during their internships done in their earlier years to land a job. Starting salaries vary depending on the role and company, but start from around 3-4 LPA. Im currently into UI/UX, looking for an internship so I can start working once i graduate.
