- The atmosphere of the college campus is very good with lots of greenery and clean air.
- Every hostel has two seated rooms which is one of best thing and only given in SVINT compaired to any other.
Dislikes
- Road are under construction and are improving.
- Some buildings are under construction so some areas are dusty.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Currriculam of Btech in college is very organised and gets improved new policies changes . The coarse is well designed and includes all real life application and studies.More practical knowledge can be added for some subjects . The timings of exams are reasonably correct and are of moderate level.
Internships Opportunities :
Many Companies came for internship like bajaj ,Hitachi, google, mesho, Wipro, cisco, Upl , Tata ,AB-Inbev ,decimal point ,technip energies, fassos and Wendys and many other MNCs .there are many incampus and out campus research internships are available like in other top IITs.
Placement Experience :
Form 3rd on wards the students are eligible for taking internship and placements ,Companies have there cutoffs for campus placement (approximately 8 CGPA ) . Many Companies like bajaj ,Hitachi, Upl ,Tata ,mesho,Wipro ,other MNCs came for campus placements Percentage of student getting placed according to branch varies like Mechanical engineering ( approx 86%) Computer science engineering (approx 90 %) Electronic engineering (approx 80 %) Chemical engineering (approx 83%)
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure for mechanical Engineering at sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, surat is divided into various components .the annual tuition fees for a general category student is around INR 1,25,000.In addition ,students are required to pay other charges ,including caution money (around INR 5,000), admission fees (approximately INR 3000),and registration fees which only apply in odd semesters. For students belonging to reserved categories like SC/ST or those who fall under the economically weaker section,tuition fees is waived or significantly reduced ,depending on eligibility .Scholarship like National Scholarship portal (NSP) and other various state funded schemes are available. Other fees includes hostel and mess charges which ranges around INR 32,000 .
Campus Life :
There are major two festivals " sparsh " which is an cultural fest and a "mindbend " which is the gujrats best technical fest . Our campus have one of best library with both hardcopy and digital copies are available, with 3 Floors of seating area and centralized air-conditioning. Campus have all types of sports facilities like for football, cricket ,badminton, table tennis, etc .there are common playing room for table tennis and volleyball in each hostel. There are many Technical and non technical clubs Drishti ,pheonix racing ,chrd ,renesa ,etc
Hostel Facilities :
Each and every room consists of two beds , two study tables, curtains, fan and lights. Every room has its own balcony and a huge window for natural lights .A cleaner comes every week to clean the room .mess food is also very good and mess are clean and ventilated ,toilets get cleaned everyday . Registration is very easy as it is done during admission process. And hostels are very affordable.
Admission :
I applied for VNIT nagpur and was able to get the confirm seat in Btech degree but I chosed SVNIT because I was intersed in Mechanical engineering and SVNIT was very good for this branch with lots of further placements opportunities than other colleges. The admission process is very smooth as they already tell that what are hhe documents which are needed and the suggested branches are Electronics engineering and Mechanical engineering.
Faculty :
There is very good and reasonable amount of faculty yo student ration as only in mechanical engineering department there are more tha 85 faculty members.the faculties ate very supportive and encourage students for other activities like internships, research etc. The exam are mainly divided into 4 major parts Class test (20 marks ) ,mid semester exams (30 marks ) ,end semester exams (50 marks ) ,and other reports and tutorials.
