  • Poor campus life due to low no of students
  • Most Professors are busy researching thier own

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is adapted well with new cutting edge technologies like AI and ML and also enriched with core subjects like Machine, Power Systems and Power Electronics. Teaching methods can be improved by working more on board, most faculties tend to only show ppt Exams are perfect in my opinion

Internships Opportunities :

Students have to find internships on their own, now many companies come to offer internships here Cesc comes each year Companies take written and verbal exam before offering internships Final yr projects are done with utmost care

Placement Experience :

Students from 3rd yr 6th sem onwards are eligible for placement Mostly IT and some core companies come here Highest package is around 10LPA and average is 5Lpa 75% students do get a placement I'm preparing for appearing in Gate and ese after degree

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I pay 3622 rs per sem and 7244 per yr accordingly, it covers all the fees of university. From this year new fees has been 4800 rs per semester. All students pay same fees. I get SVMCM scholarship by WB GOV of 5000rs per month.

Campus Life :

Campus life is small, boring and monotonous Tech fest is held during sept Library is very very rich with books of eminent noble laureates to new age writers Projector, speaker and smart board system is available Sports is very less here, annual sports happens in January

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel offers neat and clean room, food services and wifi Meal and menu is very good Hostel is very affordable with 300 rs per year tariff Hostel is near from college which is helpful Registration is done on sept Oct by online

Admission :

I got scope to get admitted in IEM, Heritage, Techno etc but this college is govt so fees are nominal and reputation of this university is more than a centennial long I got rejected from Jadavpur University as my rank in Wbjee was not that good Admissions are made through Wbjee for 4yr BTech and jelet for lateral 3yr BTech

Faculty :

Faculty students ratio is 1:3 Some professors are approachable but most are not JNB and KDS sir are best among all 2 internal tests are there, best btw them is taken as official score and Course curriculum is well advanced 10% students fail

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.
