Course Curriculum Overview :
The main reason for me to choose this course was due to my interests in the tech domain. The curriculum in the college is some what ok and same as the rest of the colleges. The college can focus on stressing more at quality teaching and attention to students. The exam structure was good and nothing to complain about.
Fees and Financial Aid :
At SSMRV College, the BCA program is a three-year course with a fee of ?63,000 per year, totaling ?1,89,000 for the entire course. While there are no annual fee hikes for my batch, the current fee for new students is ?99,000 per year. Unfortunately, there are no scholarships or financial aid options available for the BCA program, and we don’t have information on fees for other categories like SC or ST.
Campus Life :
SSMRV helds the Yuva fest once in a year during June - July which is a intercollegiate fest including sports and culturals. Speaking about the library the Library was good and maintained neatly and was recently renovated with books available to borrow. The classroom were AV enabled. There are many clubs to choose from which could indeed help you in your career ahead.
Admission :
The reason why I chose this college was due to the brand name RV. SSMRV is a institution which comes under the Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Institutions. The good reputation and the affordable fees structure at my time was the reason for why I chose this college. The admission was simple had to pay Rs. 5000 for holding the seat and the seat was confirmed once I paid the whole amount. With minor criterias it's easy to get into the college. I looked into Oxford College but the distance was far and the campus didn't seem to please me.
Faculty :
At SSMRV College, the BCA program has a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:60, which means individual attention can be somewhat limited, and the approachability of faculty members is generally moderate. Shanti Krishna, the Head of Department, stands out as a highly knowledgeable and effective teacher, highly appreciated by students. The key subjects in the course include Python, Java, C++, Operating Systems, and Web Development. Students face two exams per year, with the difficulty ranging from hard to moderate. The course curriculum is considered to be about 60% relevant to real-world job requirements.
