Should I take admission in BBDNITM, Lucknow?

Dislikes

  • Labs and Workshops are not very advanced
  • Hostel facilities for first year students could be a problem

Course Curriculum Overview :

Civil Services curriculum is very vast and has many aspects which are mostly covered through the course period. Honestly the theory in Civil Engineering is not sufficient for a student to step in the real field. Enough field and site experience is necessary to understand the basics. The College should focus on arranging more site visits and giving real world experience to their Final year students.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are mostly to be found by the students themselves. College plays very little role in getting you these. If you are lucky enough your faculties will use their resources to get you a decent Internship. But those internships are mostly Unpaid. I did my Internship in UP PWD. You will be put on an ongoing Project during the course of the internship and finally submit a report to the Organisation and the Department.

Placement Experience :

Campus Placement is not very Good for Civil Engineering as compared to other branches like CS,IT Still some companies visit like during my time Prism Johnson had taken students from the campus. I got placed in Prism Johnson and the placement procedure was very smooth.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition Fee- 1,03,603 Security- 5000 (One Time & refundable after completion of the course) Admission Fee (One Time)- ?1000 Insurance (0)- ?700 Internal Examination Fee- ?1000 Student Welfare Fund- ?500 Personality Development Program & Training by Learnovate (0)- ?2500(Twice) TOTAL AMOUNT- ?1,14,303 Scholarship: 1. 25% Scholarship (on Tuition Fee) will be given to those students who are willing to take admission in B.Tech ECE/EE/ME/Civil Engg. in First Year & Lateral Entry / Second Year onward Scholarship will be applicable as per Institute Norms. 2. 25% Scholarship (on Tuition Fee) will be given in MBA Course of BBDITM If candidate is UG pass out from the BBDITM. 3.** Special Scholarship by UP Government to Economically weaker students belonging to EWS, OBC, SC ST (Around ?54,000 per year)

Campus Life :

Campus Life is what you will never complain about being in this college. Good infrastructure and Cafeteria makes you feel like in College. Adding to this various Cultural Fests keep happening every month which keeps students engaged. A number of Social Clubs are there in the college which can be joined by students through a basic recruitment process.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are good. In first year 3 students per room. In Second year 2 students in a New hostel with a view of the Stadium. Most probably students get a separate room by 4th year. Mess food is just as an average college food. Majority of the students leave hostels in 2nd year and rent a private apartment in front of the college.

Admission :

Admission Procedure - In 2017 Students had to clear the UPSEEE State Entrance Exam to get admission in BBDNITM. But now JEE Mains is required. Candidates must qualify an entrance exam or meet educational requirements. For example, to be eligible for a BTech degree, candidates must have qualified the JEE Main, CUET, KEAM, or CUET. Counseling- Shortlisted candidates are invited to AKTU counseling or entrance exam counseling. Seat allotments are based on the candidate's preferences, the cutoff of the affiliated college, and other factors.

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio is very decent and faculty gives individual attention to each student. Civil Engineering has Mr, DS Ray as the Head of Department. He has worked as Chief Engineer in PWD. Facilities and HoD provide help students in getting placements or internships. Every month has a Sessional Exam of 20 marks and these marks are added in the Final Semester Exams. 70 Marks External 20 Marks Sessional 10 Marks Viva

The placement is very good in my college. From the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Mahindra etc do visit my college. The highest package is 16 lacs per annum and the average package is 4 lacs per annum. 95 % of students of the batch get placement every year. In this college, there is 100 percent placement of all students. But some students choose to take admission in post-graduation. Post-graduation course is not available in this college due to University policy.
