  • Canteen facility is average..food quality is ok and good... And overinteraction between senior-junior relation often results in ragging issues

Course Curriculum Overview :

Firstly I admire the senior -junior series relationship of MIT and then the staff members. Secondly the faculty and teaching staff are explaining the stuff very clearly. They guide and motivate the students in whatever way they can. One of the major thing which influenced my decision to take BTECH in IT is that it has lot of placement opporutinities and MIT has a good placement record.

Internships Opportunities :

All these internships are for 2 months duration Fidelity investments - sde role - stipend (35k per month) , BNY -sde role - stipend (75k per month) , Wells fargo -sde role - stipend ( 90 k per month)..etc

Placement Experience :

From semester 5 , students - eligible for internship. From semester 7, students - eligible for placement . A lot of companies like appian,wells-fargo,fidelity visit our campus and recruits students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

FEES STRUCTURE : BC/general - one semester (20000) / yearly- 40000 sc/st - one semester ( 9000) / yearly- 18000 first graduate with any community - one semester (10000) /yearly - 20000 The semester fee itself includes all other expenses like notebooks, development fees, lab fees etc.. But before the end semester exams we have to pay exam fees only on our own.

Campus Life :

3 major clubs are the backbone of MIT which are NSS,NSO and YRC. Apart from these MIT has some other clubs like PDA,AUSEC,QUILL,MYTBC. All these clubs focus on exploring students talents and developments. Both technical and non-technical clubs are also available in MIT

Hostel Facilities :

In hostel , we are having drinking water facilities, reading room facilities, and hot water facilities ,playground facilities also. And hostel mess is very huge and both veg and non-veg food available.

Admission :

I get into MIT through TNEA. BTECH -IT at MIT was my 6 th option. Before this I gave 5 more options like CEG-IT,CEG-CT etc.. But I don't get alloted to the previous options as my rank was not sufficient enough. But apart all these, MIT also provides a lot of placement and internship opportunities.

Faculty :

I dont know the faculty-to-student ratio but faculties working here are very kind and friendly with students. They help students in all ways that they can possible. Each dept has its own teaching fellow and faculty members. So the healthy ratio of faculty-to-student is maintained.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
