Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum deals with a range of subjects as Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary field. There are approximately 5 subjects in each semester and all of them are different from one another. As much as knowledge and application is concerned, the course is relevant. The only drawback is the lack of numerical involvement in the curriculum. This needs major improvement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for this course is affordable and reasonable when compared with other colleges. The fees for the first year is INR 43800, and it is INR 41700 for subsequent years. The prospectus is INR 500. Other than these charges, there are no extra fees that needs to be paid. This amount includes tuition fees, caution fees, registration etc.
Campus Life :
The campus life is nice. The campus has a lot of trees and greenery, which is a plus point. There are a lot of activities and functions associated with the College. These include the yearly fresher's, farewell, the alumni meet and annual convocation. The annual ' Fashion Flora ' , a competition that allows Fashion designing students to showcase their talent is one of the major events. Also there is a huge participation of students in the zonal youth fest that is held annually. There is also a 7 day NSS camp held every year with different activities. The campus is not huge. Since it's an "All girls" college, so girls have more fraternity and comfort in the campus
Admission :
I was a NEET aspirant but I failed to get through it as I had no formal coaching. There were financial difficulties and I personally could not afford the huge fees that is needed in private colleges across the country. I was confused and considered different universities and different colleges. I got calls from Chandigarh University, LPU, CGC Jhanjeri and others but I was still not sure about the course. Then there was someone who counselled me and I chose Biotechnology. I chose this particular college because it was affordable and the fees was reasonable. I got into this college through direct admission, there are no entrance exams. You can just visit the college, buy the prospectus and the staff will get you through admission.
Faculty :
The faculty and the staff members are very approachable and helpful to student needs. Since this college is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh, it follows the same marking scheme as in other such aided colleges. The exam system includes mid semester tests, assignments and presentations. The semester exams are held within the college itself. A
