- The first thing is college affordability.
- College infrastructure is also good and the teachers are well educated and their education level is decent
Dislikes
- If you are from different states rather than Gujarat then you will suffer a lot initially.
- The worst part is that many of the teachers are teaching in Gujarati as a communication language. Many of them doesn't know hindi properly.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I live in Ankleshwar the chemical hub of the world. So from the surrounding atmosphere I was thinking to pursue Chemical Engineering. This course consists topics like mass transfer, heat transfer, material balance, etc. which will help you in Industry of chemical. There are 8 semesters. And the semester is about 3-4 months and then the exams will conduct.
Internships Opportunities :
There are many internship opportunities available in our colleges. In course curriculum there is 15 day Summer internship in 7th semester and 84 days winter Internship in 8th semester. In 8th semester only you have to do is internship and from that your guide will give you marks and it will count in your result.
Placement Experience :
There is a placement cell in our college. As I'm placement cell student coordinator, I can assure you that if you are a hardworking student then you will crack the job. The companies like Adani, Reliance, Nirma, and other highly reputed companies visit our college and picks the students. The Reliance had given 8 lakh per annum, Adani gives 6 lakh oer annum, and Nirma gives 3 lakh per annum. So basically the placement is good
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So basically it is the government college so the tution fees is around1500 rupees per year and additional amount pf 400-500 ruppes you have to pay as other charges. Basically it goes around 2-2.5 thousand for the year. And if you have the domicile of Gujarat then you can avail the Scholarships. Approx amount of scholarship for obc categories students are worth 20-25 thousands by different options.
Campus Life :
You can't expect technical festivals or other things here. There is a group IGNITE, they holds event's like Navratri fest, Traditional Day, Signature Day, etc. The sport's events are also there but the frequency is very low of event's. So don't expect much more from this college. But the infrastructure is decent.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel fees is 575 per semester. And you will provide a room with 3 other students. A bed, cupboard, table will given to you. But the infrastructure is very old and there is issue of cleanliness and the bathrooms are not in good condition. The washroom and urinal are blocked and they don't give any attention to it.
Admission :
This is government college so the procedure of admission is conducted by ACPC a committee for admission. From your board marks and the GUJCET marks it will create a rank. Through the rank you have to given option to choose the colleges. There are around 3-4 round of counselling. If your rank is decent then you will get the colleges of your choice. There are few government chemical colleges in Gujarat. That's why I filled all of them and due to my rank I've given this college.
Faculty :
I'm in Chemical department of Engineering. All I can say is this department is much better than other departments in this college. All the faculties will readily help you. Exam will conduct in two phase i.e. external and internal consists of 70 marks and 30 marks. The external exam paper will be from the University i.e. GTU. The paper are moderate to pass.
