Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is good . All the major law subjects are covered in the last three years but I personally feel that law students should start studying law subjects from the very first year to enhance their legal journey .

Internships Opportunities :

The college provides multiple internship opportunities. Advocate Veer Kankaria offers role of long term intern in civil and criminal matters and provides a decent stipend of 5k per month. Vanamali is a non profit organisation which hire interns majorly for research work and there is no stipend. Kanga and Co. Is.a top law firm in Mumbai which hire interns in the field of corporate law.

Placement Experience :

The college do provide decent placement but the college can do much better with regards to placement. The college provides four to five lakh per annum as average placement which is much better than the colleges which do not provide a single placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

66k per year, the fees is same for all the categories which is 66k per year. The division of fee structure is as follows tuition fees is 45, 455 and development fees is 4545, no scholarship for students available in this college.

Campus Life :

The infrastructure of the college is well developed in comparison to other law colleges in Mumbai . The activities and training sessions conducted by the college helps in improving the overall professional development of the students

Admission :

I couldn't qualify CLAT exam due to which I had to apply for MHCET and I got third college from the top ranking list in Maharashtra CET exam. If I could have made it then I would have chosen NLU rather than PGCL because there are a lot more opportunities in National law Universities compared to PGCL

Faculty :

There are parmanent as well as temporary faculty. The two years of the college are focused on BA subjects like sociology, history, political science, logic and the last three years are solely based on pure law subjects. There are ten semesters in five year course. The college follows the exam pattern of Mumbai University which have 60:40 pattern.

Placement Experience:

Placements of the college are okay. Not very high and not very low, it is at a good point which can be improved and be higher. From 3rd year the college provides for internship opportunities in many big law firms. The avg package may be around 6-8 lakhs and the highest may be around 15-17 lakhs but it fluctuates every year. Companies like ELP, SAM, trilegal, Cyril amarchand mangaldas,AZB patners, etc have offered packages to many students. There is no exact data available for exact % of students placed or offered made. I plan to go in litigation after my degree.

Placement Experience:

Last year last semester students were eligible for the campus placement program. So many companies are visited in College like Mahindra. HDFC bank. And local companies. Also, the opportunity to practice in local city court for under senior advocate. Offer is like a legal advisor. etc. The average package is like 2 to 6 lakhs per year. And the highest is 8 lakhs. 40 to 45 percent of students get placement. My plan after degree I chose to practice under a senior advocate.

Placement Experience:

The college is known for campus placements in every sector especially corporate and practices at the Hon'ble High Courts and the apex Supreme Court of India. Many also opt for going into the judiciary and become High Courts and Supreme Judges. Many legal luminaries and stalwarts including former Chief Justice of India Y.V. Chandrachud and late Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh are an alumnus of the college. The companies usually come for recruitment in the final year of the course i.e, the 3rd year or the sixth semester to be eligible for placements. The college also provides pre-placement training. Law students are not recruited to placements, they enhance their skills participating in national and international moot courts, arbitration and mediation competitions across the globe. Various law firms which visit are Khaitan and Co., Mindtree, Mulla and Craig and many other reputed organizations. The highest placement is around 13 LPA. 70% placements.
