  • Fixed dress code. It was very strict for dress code like boys wear formals everyday and girls wear suit, kurti with dupatta everyday
  • Canteens are nice but for North Indian people there should be more outlets providing north indian cuisine

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is very comprehensive and detailed. 1st year is full of practical skills training along with theory. you will get to learn practice and conduct all types of assessments, and also journal publication. Second year is full of dissertation work another journal publication. There are 3 internships mandated. Each for one month and the third is fieldwork for 4 months once in a week

Placement Experience :

There is a separate placement cell handled by a very well known and experienced faculty.Big four companies to various organisations are being invited for placement. For msc clinical psychology, placement rate is good. From various organisations be it corporate or ngo that offers a package of maximum 4 lacs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

1 lac per year is the fees for msc clinical psychology. i.e. 2 lacs for 2 years Tution fees is 2 lacs apart from that uniform fees is taken and lab charges. 18000 deposit is taken from people outside Karnataka. Exam fees of around 3500 is taken for every semester exams. There is a list of scholarship provided by college on college's website. 5College also holds student exchange program with collaboration to foreign universities.

Campus Life :

Stimuli that is a Psychology departmental feat of college, then cognizant for conferences. Various inter colleges fest are being organized here. Ethnic day is celebrated every year during Diwali to celebrate diversity. Kalajyothi, samvarthana are some ug vs pg fests .

Hostel Facilities :

There are many hostels provided for girls and boys separately to students. Hostels are outside college but nearby. Hostel facilities are very good. There are some new hostels of college that provide much better facility than older hostels. Fees taken for my hostel was 90,000/- year for two sharing. There are other options also available. Hostels also have their own functions going on like hostel day. Each hostel have their own mess, curfew timings and rules regulations.

Admission :

I gave TISS NET but couldn't qualify. Then thought to go for Christ University Bangalore but got to know that curriculum of this course their is more theoretical than being practical. KJC provides practical knowledge, exposure, training and field visits which makes it and course amazing. They also organize conferences and seminars Admission process fmof KJC includes computerized online test and PI.

Faculty :

Teacher- student ratio was good enough. There are two departments in college for psychology. One department is for UG and other is for PG. All teachers are NET qualified and most of them hold good experience+ PhD. Relationship that I have seen and experience is great. You will find so many therapists for yourself .

Interview Experience :

Yes the college's admission process include online computerized test including various questions based on general knowledge and course based questions. After that there was one more round that was PI. And questions were course based only.

Other Applied Colleges

Christ University | Master of Science [M.Sc] (Clinical Psychology)

I feel that curriculum for the course is more theoretical here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very vast as from next year onward we will have desertation and internships. Internships and mini projects are compulsory which is helpful and important for our CV. More practical works should be done, theory wise its good but applying it is difficult. Exams are held every 2 months and the course is 6month per sem

Placement Experience:

First semester onwards. Companies visited Asian paints, live space, homelane, etc. Offered at live space. The highest package for freshers is 24000 take home while experienced people generally draw 30-40. About 85-90% are getting placements. After getting the degree I've planned to do an internship after which I'll look for a job. Later in the future, I'll start my own interior design company.
