- I liked the genz classroom style with installed sockets for charging given everywhere at campus giving the students a home comfy vibe
- I like the fact that students are allowed to stay in the college till 8 pm and do anything there, play sports, sit at library
Dislikes
- I don't like the attendance taking system, students need to punch their cards everyclass in order to mark their presence
- I think more assesments taken will help us grow and get to know our mistakes which I guess is a little low here
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is quite easy and simple ( for those ofcourse who damn cares for his/her future ) . Just the thing is to stay in touch of the subject in a regular basis so that you say bye to backs . College provides summer internships for every year which gives a job experience to students and make them aware of how to sit in market in real life and manage their skills.
Internships Opportunities :
All students are mandatory to take internships offered by college . First year students at their year break are offered NGO internships which gives students a better hands on experience, the paid internships are offered by the second year according to one's cgpa
Placement Experience :
Placements here at UPES are fantastic, ofcourse for those who wants. Big companies in the market like Google , Microsoft, Tcs , Infosys, Amazon visit the college every year and offer a high package to the best person applicable .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I am paying 2.64 lakh per semester here at UPES , which I guess is increasing 5-10 % per semester from previous records and fee structure. Btech Cse is the most expensive branch offered here with a total fees structure of around 20 lakhs for 4 years . I didn't met any scholarship scheme but my friends did , one of my friend scored 87 % in 12th and got around 15 % scholarship in the tution fees which was a big thing . There isn't a fee structure breakup given till the date now , somehow may be I have missed that but I think 1.20 lakhs for tution fees and rest for other things . I am general by caste so no caste discount applicable. But the college offers and really raly on scholarships and give good amount of discount on fees to students whereas some colleges do not actually take it seriously . If you are good scorer in 10+2 exams then You are welcomed to claim your scholarship asap . Also a massive thing for the pahadis though . All uttarakhand domicile are offered 30% grant on fees !.
Campus Life :
Campus Life , social life here at UPES can't be compared for sure . The campus is surrounded by huge mountains with a evergreen cloudy and fantastic temperature. The drizzles often make the campus's beauty enhance . All. Facilites like gym , library, sports are best here and often sports matches are organised on a regular basis here.
Hostel Facilities :
I am not in the campus hostel but the hostel where I stay is better then campus hostel in my views as it gives students more relaxation to visit anywhere under timings where a jail like feeling can be felt at the campus hostel.
Admission :
The major thing is the fantastic placement rate here . Though everyone does not get placed but yes those who really work hard for themselves get a good opportunity to get placed in a better company rather a same person studying somewhere else at a local college .
Faculty :
Faculty is very nice and cooperative, they talk to us like friends ,and never feel like they are the so called egoistic professors. They are just chill and frank with the students which give a comfortable vibe to those unnourished kids who are out of their town and here for studies and make them a damn professional student.
