Remarks :

College management were strict related to attendance and mingling of boys and girls. Strict rules if you are absent or taken more leave. Now management has changed and these restriction should no longer be there. Facilities provided by college are good. P

Entrance Preview :

I have joined this college through AIEEE exam. I got 20020 rank in AIEEE and got many colleges in Chennai and this college as an option. Computer Science & Engineering was available for this college so I preferred this as the top most options. Finally I got selected for computer science. I joined this college, it was a start-up college and started in 2000.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum of college was based on Anna University and it was quite good. For CSE, syllabus includes Computer , Electrical, Electronics related books. In Final year we had projects and management related subject.

Internships Opportunities :

There were no internship program in the college. One Placement cell was started which was responsible for placement related activity alone and not related to internship.

Placement Experience :

For our batch there were no placement in the campus but there used to be pool campus where 7,8 college together arranges for placement. Companies like i-flex system(now Oracle Financial Services), subex, Parot system etc came in pool campus and they were proving package in the range of 2.4 to 2.8 Lacs per annum. Around 20 people were placed in our batch from our college and for other participating college very less people got selected.

College Events :

College is holding State level symposium, Yearly college days where prizes were distributed for toppers , faculties, student with 100% attendance, and some cultural programs were also conducted. Convocation program were also conducted every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is feasible.It was around 20000 per semester which were increases to 40000 per semester in around 2008. Fees structure is quite affordable compared to other institution.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There were no scholarship scheme available and I am not sure about loan scheme.

Campus Life :

Campus life was quiet good. People were helping and friendly. College was conducting symposium where at state level where people needs to demonstrate some projects related to electronics or some other inventions. It also conducts code debugging and coding competition. People used to go for other college to attend debugging competitions and quiz and paper presentation.

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors were good and helping. They provided knowledge about interview process and knowledge about examination pattern. They were friendly in nature and ragging was very less and simple.

Exam Structure :

There were many exams conducted like every month there will be 3 days test and after 3 months there will be regular cycle test for one month. For students who had arrears/backlog more tests and extra special classes and tests were conducted.

Review of placement

Placement Experience:

From 5th senester students are eleigible for the placements. So your 5th semester cgpa is very important. This college provide placements from companies like zoho, accenture, tcs , hexaware, mitsogo and more. The highest package is 12Lakhs and lowest package us 3lakhs.60 percentage of students are getting placed each year. Its fully depend on your skills. My plan is to place in campus placements for a web developer role.

Yes placement is pretty decent for this college and most of the top branded companies visit here like Google, Microsoft, McKinsey, Oracle, PhonePe, and some PSU's as well like HPCL, BPCL etc. Most of the students are able to get placed till the end

Panimalar : A paradise For The Learners

Placement Experience:

The students get eligible fro the placements and attends interviews from the sixth semester. And the college starts to provide special placeement training from the end of the sixth semester. Even I'm still not eligible to attend the college placements, I hear a lot from my seniors about the placements. From those informations, some of the major and high paying companies like Accenture, Infosys, Sutherland often approach college for the placement. I have no knowledge about the highest package but average package could be ranging from 5,00,000 to 6,00,000 LPA. The highest number of students that are getting placed are from Dept. of AI&DS. With overall count of students attending more than 50% students passes the aptitude and reasoning test round, 15% of students passes the Group Discussion round, and only 5-6% students passes the HR round and getting placed. I personally started to hate these 9-5 jobs after hearing from the seniors who got placed in so called "best IT companies". So, my short term plan is to get placed in a high paying IT company and work till i get fired by any means. My major and long term plan is to start a business with all the savings that I've saved from my job.
