Course Curriculum Overview
Since I was a kid I always wanted to become a Dr. And help people with their sufferings so that was mainly the drive and aspect of my life that influenced my decision to choose this course.my curriculum had not only the syllabus of dental subjects but also of full body anatomy and physiology which attracted me more towards this course.the curriculum prepares us as much as required for the real life applications as it gives us indepth insights of the subjects necessary to gain jobs in our field as well as further academic prospects like masters that we could think of.as such curriculum doesn't require any changes according to my perspective.the frequency of exams by college was thrice a year and by university once a year and difficulty level was moderate
Internships Opportunities
Our college offers internship period of one year (365days) wherein we are given one and half month postings in nine different departments . We had a particular patient quota to do finish before we were given our final degree certificate
Fees and Financial Aid
My yearly fees was 2,60,000.but I used to get scholarship named MYSY (mukhyamantri yuva swalamban yojna).wherein they used to reimburse 50% of fees amount I used to pay 1,30,000 fees per year.i belong to general category only .no reservation I obtained
Campus Life
The annual festivals conducted were ROOTS where it was 7 day long fest where many cultural and sports and other activities conducted . The accessibility of books in library was on point as the range of books available were also very perfectly carved based on students needs .The facilities in classrooms were like the class were fully air conditioned and also projector screens were available .sports activities like tennis badminton cricket etc were available on campus.mainly college based Instagram pages were runned called grids life and GRIDS students etc for updates on activities conducted in college
Admission
To be eligible to the course we had to have given 12th board exams along with NEET entrance exam for undergraduate admissions in medical courses.application details are available and counselling for admission is conducted solely by National medical comission .I didn't have any reservation benefits as I was a general category student.entrance exam for Medical admission is conducted once a year and difficulty level is pretty hard.areas for improvement in admission process can be the delay in conducting of exam and counselling very late after covid struck the world.
Faculty
In our college faculty to student ratio was 10:1. It was moderately average ratio which was good enough to enhance our knowledge about the subjects. The faculties were mostly MDS in the particular subject/ branch Their approach towards teaching was mostly practical based patient based scenarios based rather than theoretical bookish knowledge.we were really Frank with our teachers they were very kind and easily approachable for all kinds of difficulties .
