Course Curriculum Overview :

The subject that I chosen is social work. The department is providing opportunity for internship and field works which is helping to connect with society and to apply the learning and theoretical knowledges in real world.

Internships Opportunities :

In MSW there is 3 specialosations such as MPSW, SD and HRM. According to the specialisation that we chosen we can do internship in any organization or in institution. Students has to find the institution where we have to do internship and further procedures will be carried out by the department.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees for MSW course is approximately 2000 per year. AF: ADMISSION FEE ONE TIME (1000) CD: CAUTION DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE ONE TIME (1740) COMLABFEE: COMPUTER LAB FEE (600) ECF: EXTRA CURRICULAR FEE INCLUDING SPORTS (600) EXAMFEE: EXAM FEE (600) HCC: HEALTH CENTER CHARGES (500) LIBFEE: LIBRARY FEE (600) SWF: STUDENTS WELFARE FUND (600) TFPS: TUITION FEE PER SEMESTER (6750) per semester

Campus Life :

The university is situated in 600 acres and is having good infrastructure such as projectors in class rooms, seminar halls and two auditorium. A good library is there from where we can issue books till 5:30pm and can read books and sit till 9:00pm

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility good. But it is not that good sometimes food will not be that good. In one room 4 people are living. Hostel food menu is cyclic menu. In morning we will get upma, idli, poha past, dosh, etc.

Admission :

Eligibility criteria for MSW course is any under-graduate student who is having minimum of 55% in undergraduation for OBC and general category. Application form and fee details is available in CUET website.

Faculty :

Faculties are conducting classes in a participatory approach where the students' participaion is involved and ensured. Use of ppt is making the lecture more effective. We can approach the teachers when we have any doubts.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Some papers need to be updated and should include topic related to current issues and more discussions are need to be conducted in the classroom that improves the critical thinking of the students. For Social Work course field exposure is very relevant and important to increase the knowledge of the trainee. But the department is not providing any field exposure to the trainees according to their specializations. The only field experience students are getting from the one month block placement/ internship, but that is not enough for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is stick on to the outdated syllabus. Practical experience is missing. Theoretical knowledge is getting but practice is missing there. In this competitive world, we can't survive with this basic knowledge. Technological advancements are lacking and we are poor in managing it.

Placement Experience:

From the third semester, the students become eligible for campus selection and students are given support from the faculty members to join certain NGOs to work with. This makes the students develop their skills and learn new things by working with them. Students often end up working with these NGOs after finding the experience with them as productive. But Christ doesn't have many placements for the MSW course.
