  • There is nothing to dislike about my college. Its simply the best. But the college canteen can be improved as the food served is not of very good quality.
  • Hostels can be improved a bit. Our college is the oldest college of whole northeast so its legacy has to be maintained.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is really very nicely designed to manage our course nicely in three phases Phase1, 2,phase 3part1 and phase 3 part 2 and then one year of internship. The clinical posting timings, lecture and exam timings are very nicely stuctured for our good.

Internships Opportunities :

Since its a Government medical college here we need to go for one year of rotatory internship in all the departments like medicine, surgery, obs and gynae, paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, etc. So here we develop clinical skills and develop knowledge about different types od diseases and disorders and also stipends for our work per month for one year. Work experience is something we can gather from here.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Talking to the fee structure during the admission time they took 10000 for our hostel security fee and there is no such yearly or monthly fee. Its an Government Institute . Here we need our mess dues every month for those who are staying in the hostel and it varies from hostel to hostel in my hostel its ?3000. And ya for our final exams of every year we pay 5000 per year before exam. We need to purchase log books it carries 10 marks. These are all the expenses.

Campus Life :

Its the best part of the college. Our college week famously known as Synapse. Its like an festival for us there are many events, competitions like sports, literature, dramatics, street play, dance, music and lot more. Its exciting and best part of college and we even get to know new talents in their respective fields and we even get to know our Batchmates more nicely. There social service clubs, drama clubs, sports clubs etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are very full fledged and i myself stay in hostel and i can really say its the best best to stay in hostel rather then staying out side. Although mess food seems to be a struggle initially bt later on we get adopted to it and yaa hostel facilities are good we get free electricity and water for 24 hours although there are power cuts sometimes but still better than PGs. There PGs nearby i don't have much idea about it. I would suggest you to stay in hostel rather than staying in PGs. PGs are expensive too.

Admission :

For the eligibility of the course you must have passed class 12 with PCMB/ PCB. And you must have score 50% or more marks in 12th boards. You must have cleared NEET UG exam and scored the minimum marks to get into the college as per your category. Yes there is reservation benefits too as per the category cut off its less as compared to those who are from general category. NEET UG is a 3 hours exam 720 marks (total marks).

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is good. The number of faculties are in good number. And they have got very great teaching skills and they mentor us very well. Their approach towards teacher is very nice. In clicinal postings , while teaching we get to know about their experience and we get to learn alot from their experience . Especially in wards there is very goid interaction between us and the professors and this helps us to gather more knowledge from them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to be a doctor so that I could cure people and help them to get rid of various diseases. The faculty: student ratio is approx 1:4 The faculty are highly qualified with MBBS, MD, MS, DM, March, and various other degrees done by them. The teaching process includes lectures in the classroom with the help of smart slides. Almost every month there are exams but there are internals every 3 months and finally the finals. Medical study is one of the toughest courses to pass as we need to know about a lot of different things all at once
