Choosing SIT turned out to be my best choice!

Remarks :

Frankly speaking, SIT really went beyond my expectations. I am really happy to have chosen to SIT for this important part of my life-graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum and the exam structure is drafted by highly experienced and expert individuals. It is relevant, research-driven and thoroughly fair. All the elements are carefully chosen for making us a better professional. The practical aspects of the curriculum really help shape your career.

Placement Experience :

The placements, as far as I know, are improving constantly, thanks to the separate dedicated department for placements. Also, faculties play a vital role in this process. The placement records are getting really good.

College Events :

SIT has an abundance of events and celebrations around the year. The annual cultural fest-Reverb is huge and awesome! And then there's Protathilitis - The mega sports feet, Techfests, the celebration of major festivals, field trips, international study tours, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees per semester are Rupees 1,16,000 (for my batch, has a bit increased for the recent batch). Two installments in a year totaling to rupees 2,32,000. Other expenses depend on you. The fees for the hostel is around 1.5 lacs per annum. Pune is really a good city with good social and nightlife. Keep your expense s in check or else they'll soar straight through the sky...

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I didn't opt for any scholarship or education loan. However, if your GPA is the highest among your batch for any semester, you are entitled to 50% scholarship from the college for that semester.

Campus Life :

The campus life of SIT is full of fun and happiness. The campus itself is situated amidst the laps of mother nature surrounded by mountains. The campus is really beautiful! The gender ratio is perfect and the diversity of students is really good. There are students from all over India and also some international students. There's a whole bunch of extracurricular activities to get you going. Labs are well equipped, Sports facilities are way better than other colleges, and there are tons of competitions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Alumni/Alumna :

The college frequently showcases the success of our alumni and the alumni network is really good. There's also committee under formation for it. The seniors are really good and very helpful.

Admission :

I got admission through JEE marks. After initial online application, you have to come to the Symbiosis Institute Of Technology for the counseling session which happens in the second week of June. You will be granted provisional admission letter if you fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria and the necessary documents.

Faculty :

The faculty of my college are experts in their respective fields. Majority of the teaching staff are Research Graduates (Ph.D.). All the faculties encourage you to become a better individual and are very very helpful. Especially, the faculty of civil engineering department is the best. All of them are so friendly, supportive, helpful and highly inspiring. And HOD of Civil Engineering is really the best!

Placement Experience:

Students from the 7th semester onwards are eligible for campus placements. Core Biomedical companies like GE, Medtronics, biosense etc and IT companies like TCS, JIO, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI etc Recruit Biomedical Engineers. Most Biomedical Students prefer Masters over placements. 80 percent of students from selected candidates get placed. I will go for Placements and I will get into post graduation after clearing GATE 2023.

Remarks:

Location is most likely a factor for me. It is closed to my home. And the another factor is that, Different colleges offer different programs with their curriculum. For example, as an Engineering student, I had a set of classes that I was required to take, with little deviation apart from electives.

Placement Experience:

I haven't experienced placements yet. but yes the deserving students get internship every year. The whole staff of this college is very nice.
