Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because it covers the basics for the required field and the teachers in here have good strategies which help the students achieve very good results . It is true that the curiculum of this program is designed to help the students acquire both theory as well as practical knowledge with regards to systems. The timings of the exams in the odd sems are pretty much peaceful and students can have less stress while studying for the same. But in the even sem that is not the case and the university would just try rushing up and ending the sem much faster than the odd sem like in just 4-5 months

Internships Opportunities :

Im in the 1st year so not sure about the internships that take place but have only heard about it from the seniors where there are given various kind of development tasks where students have to constantly work on it and update them on time and provide a proper feedback regarding the same.

Placement Experience :

The students from the 5th semester are eligible for the campus placements. The companies that visit the campus are not so well known and mostly offer 4lpa package. The highest package offered by the companies in this college is 4lpa and the minimum is 2lpa. There is around 60% placement rate of the high scoring students Im planning to do the masters too after this degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee for BCA at this college is around 1.25 Lakhs and there is a seperate 25k for the seat blocking for the students. The scholarships available from the university side is not so frequent is not much heard of. The interships happen in the 3rd year ending and the stipend would be around 3k or something

Campus Life :

There is no campus or such at here even if it exists it is quite small. Events happen once in 2 months and happen in an okayish scale. The classrooms have good facilities only. The library has only course books and nothing more. Sports dont happen that frequently and it has quite less scope at this college. There are no groups or clubs where students can join and bring out thier talent.

Admission :

The people who have scored more than 75% can get into the college without any sort of entrance exam and people below that criteria have to write an exam inorder to get into the college. The internal exams are conducted once in every 2 months whose difficulty is on medium level. The college should advertise honestly during the admission process and should not do fake marketing of the features in the college and exaggerate it

Faculty :

There is a good ratio of 60 faculty to student ratio where the teachers teach good enough and provide with necesary materials needed for the internal exams. The teaching is either on the whiteboard or the projector screen with which the explanation is done. Mostly they try finishing the syllabus on atleast a month before the 2nd internals. The teachers are quite approachable and are friendly enough to guide and teach things.

Other Applied Colleges

St Joseph's University | Bachelor of Computer Applications [BCA]

The Seats were limited and cut off rate was eventually high

Placement Experience:

As a former student of this institution, I am compelled to share my disillusioning experience. The college's brochure boasted impressive placement statistics, but the reality was starkly different. Out of 240 students in my batch, a mere 10-15 secured job placements, resulting in an abysmal placement ratio of approximately 4-6. This was a clear indication of the institution's failure to deliver on its promises. The brochure's claims of "excellent placement opportunities" and "top-notch companies" were nothing more than a marketing gimmick. Only one tech company visited our campus, offering a modest package of 3.6 LPA, while the remaining companies were sales-based with negligible packages that hardly justified the effort and investment put into earning a degree.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college is very good. We get offers from companies like DE Shaw, Accenture, etc and the best part we have 100% placement. Students should not have any backlogs and they should have atleast 70% so they will be eligible to sit in the placements. And the process of placements starts from 3rd year i.e.5th sem

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester if they don't have any backlogs in any previous semesters. The companies that visited our campus was IBM, INFOSYS, CAPGEMI, etc.. The highest package offered was 7Lpa to 9LPA, THE average package offered was 3.5 to 5 Lpa and the lowest package offered was 2Lpa . The percentage of students getting placed depends upon the student, if he or she didn't have any backlogs in the previous semesters, but the percentage of the students getting placed was 50 to 60%. My plans after degree was to do work in. Software development firm, but now i am studying my masters from Manipal University of Jaipur.

Presidency college of a report, a placement rate with a majority of students, securing jobs before graduation college placement cell work, actively to connect students with the top employed in IT software data and it takes finance et cetera. Many well-known companies in Tech in finance, including Wipro, TCS, Accenture and cognizant are known to recruit from presidency College of and provide training sessions which include skill development in areas like aptitude, technical knowledge, coding and soft skills which can make a big difference in interviews. While average package from this college would be around 4.5 to 5 lakhs per annum.
