  • Doesn't provide the best campus experience since it's an off campus college.
  • Faculty keeps on changing for my course which creates an issue sometimes.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I like to know about how Business works and impacts in the real world. Since Business Economics is an applied stream of Economics, this course helps us to know about the impacts of Business on Economics and vice versa. The course contains a practical knowledge subject in each semester like Marketing Management or Corporate Finance, thus making it very relevant. The exams are hard enough that take place twice a year but regular practice makes it easy.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for placements in the sixth semester. Before that, they can apply for internships of they want to gain experience on their area of interest. The highest package offered till now was from D.E Shaw, a package of 22LPA to a student of Business Economics course. I'm planning to go for Masters after my Bachelor's.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Business Economics is a self-funded course, thus providing no scholarships. Well the fees decreased in 2nd year from the 1st year, 35670/- came down to 33320/-. This is enough affordable if we take into consideration, all the paid courses available or private college fee structures. The Placement Cell of the college works hard to provide students with internships and helps students to take up any profile related to their area of interest.

Campus Life :

Annual fest of our college takes place mostly in the month of March and other than that, various societies keep on doing competitions likely to their convenience. Shivaji College library is a huge library and provides a wide range of books and study materials.

Admission :

CUET exam is needed to be cleared to get admission to this course. In 2022, the subjects that were required for this course we're Mathematics, English and General Test. If there are Reservation Benefits, it helps students to get chance for admission at a lower cut-off.

Faculty :

The faculty are quite cooperative with all the students and since the class strength is low, the teachers provide enough attention to all the students, this improving our learning experience. Also, the faculty are easy to approach, helpful and skilled. To interact with them, they are mostly available for the students.

Placement Experience:

Sri Venkateswara College provides placements for Science and Commerce Students, not for BA Students. The college has a good record in the placement cell. I am an Arts student so I don't have any placement. So I choose UPSC as my career option. I will try until I succeed.

Placement Experience:

Placement cells do not provide placements to English graduates. Only a few companies came to hire English graduates. I'm planning to do a master's or B.Ed to secure a career in teaching after my graduation.

Placement Experience:

6th-semester students are eligible to apply for campus placements. Companies like Bains and Co., KPMG, etc visit our college. Some are known and some unknown. I did not participate in campus placements as I decided to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

The college is good and faculty teacher is very helpful and the canteen is great. The playground is very big and clean. College has many societies. Admission process is merit based and first cum basis.

Admission:

No, because my admission merit based and my performance and sc quota so I can't face any group discussion, interview, or written tests. My result calculation is sufficient to get admission.

Remarks:

The college is excellent when it comes to academic excellence though it lacks a bit in infrastructure and placements.

Admission:

After giving my 12th class board exams I was looking at potential places to do my graduation from and Delhi University and Jamia millia islamia were on the top of my list due to their reputation and excellent national rankings. I ended up choosing jamia because it had the reputation for being very academics oriented and having a sincere student body. The fact that jamia has an entrance exam was also a draw for me as it ensured my peers were selected on the basis of stiff competition ensuring I got the best environment to pursue my academics.Jamia conducts its entrance exam around june-july with admissions taking place in august. The admission process is pretty straightforward and most of the process such as registration and payment of fees is online. The final registration is done in person in the university itself. Original documents such as 10th and 12th marksheets are required as well as character certificate and school leaving certificate. The list of required documents is available on the university website.

Placement Experience:

Our college has JEET placement Cell. JEET provides weekly updates on new internships. There are too many opportunities. However my course, Psychology doesn't have placement opportunities as such as Psychology is a complex field that has yet to be Specified in Masters.
