Careful before taking important career decisions

Dislikes

  • There was a lot of partiality within the college, only the students who were good with the teachers only got good opportunities
  • Attendance was poor, not much action was taken by the college regarding this.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum was good and effective but was not so much helpful in preparing you with the real life scenarios. More real life projects could have been used, demos of real life situations would have helped students to deal with real situations on field.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship were provided by the college. Few companies like bajaj, Mondelez, amul, halirams, morning star etc companies come to the campus. Most of the internships are unpaid. So i took the internship from intershala insted.

Placement Experience :

Placements are provided by the college, Approx 10-15 renowned brands come to the college like Mondelez, Amul, Nobroker, Asian paints etc. The highest package would be 100000, and the lowest would be 300000 Approximately more than 80% students got placed but the package most of them received was below 500000 I got a job, and had been working since.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees i believe was high according to the curriculum. There is no scholarship program provided by the college. Paying fees on time is very important if you want to get your results and degree in time.

Campus Life :

There were lot of key note speakers called from various companies and alumni. 2 industrial visits were also done. Few sports activities were also done during the first semester. Rotaract club is also there is the college All sorts of specialists books are available in the Library

Hostel Facilities :

No such special facilities are provided in the hostel room, just a bed, bedsheet and pillow, cupboard, and geaser. Other than that the rooms are basic. 3 people stay in a room. The quality of food in the cafeteria that is available in the campus is not so good. The registration process was quite east the fees for hostel facility is 50000 for a year. The locality is Dattawadi,Marunji. There is two big society nearby that is Xrbia and Life republic. Xrbia is quite affordable for students, but its quite inside the area. Where as life republic is quite expensive, you can afford it if you have lots of money. But various facilities are available in the society.

Admission :

There was no such high difficult requirement to be eligible for the admission. I scored 50% in CAT but still got admission. There will be a telephonic interview with the admission department. They will ask you a few questions related to the field you have studied and basic details about the student. You have to pay a sum of 50000 to book your slot. The admission process should be more strict so that not just anyone can take admission.

Faculty :

The faculty was approachable, they helped you with studies, interviews, placements. The faculty was well qualified and taught well. And the teachers were polite and always ready to help. There will be a lot of confusion regarding which feild to chosse going futher, the faculty heps you in making the right decision

Interview Experience :

There were no GD rounds for admission only a basic interview was done by the admission department and few situational questions were asked during the interview, after that if you are interested you need to book the slot by paying 50000 advance.

From trimester 4, students are eligible for placements. Every year, top pharmaceutical corporations pay visits to institutions. Pharmaceuticals, medical devices, market research, consulting, IT healthcare verticals, diagnostics, medical communication, nutraceuticals, and other related healthcare sectors are just a few of the industries where students might find work. Sales, marketing, business analysis, project management, client servicing and business development, international marketing, and operations are among the job profiles they pursue. Every year, the most expensive bundles change. Companies give PPOs to high-performing employees.

Placement Experience:

There is a summer internship after the first 3 trimesters where companies come for interviews and roles depend on the company that selects you. It is for 2-3 months usually and is compulsory ie a part of the curriculum to complete to qualify for the degree. Same for final placement, interviews begin after the 4th trimester is done. More than 50 companies came to campus for final placement and highest package given was 11.2 lakhs and average was 8.8 lakhs which depended on the company and the job role. Roles are offered for consulting, IT, media, manufacturing and banking and finance roles of HR Generalist, HR Business Analyst and Talent Acquisition. Companies such as Godrej, IndusInd bank, TCS, Zee, Meru, Capstone, etc were the prominent companies for the final placement. 100% placement was achieved for the HR specialization.

Students sit for their Summer placements from the 2nd Trimester onwards. NM has a trimester system. A total of 181 companies visited the campus for the Summers of 2020-22 batch. 28 of them were from Fortune 500 companies and 90 new recruits. The total number of offers made was roughly 650-700 and still counting. The highest stipend was 3 lakhs and the average stood at 1.2 lakhs. Top 50 offers clocked an average of 2.48 lakhs. The different profiles for which the companies came were IT analytics, Consulting, E-commerce, BFSI, FMCG, FMCD, Retail, Pharmaceutical, Media & Telecom, Logistics, oil, and gas, etc. NMIMS Mum has 100% placement records. After doing my MBA I plan to go back to Corporate and learn and implement at the workplace. Thereby have self-growth and also bring revenues to the company.

They do have a placement committee. Most of my classmates are already placed at top-notch brands and agencies through the placement cell. Post 9 months, we have to do a mandatory internship to get hands-on experience of the industry life and work culture.
