Remarks :
Nothing is perfect I just problem with the account section people.
Entrance Preview :
Due to its rank and the kind of placements it offers after completion. Additionally, the college is situated on NH that lead to Darjeeling and surrounded by nature. Apart from study students have the option to enjoy weekends exploring the area As cooch Behar, Gangtok, Nepal, Darjeeling and many more.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It was all perfectly designed in a semester system with expect faculties on their specific course and the same was allowed for a lecture. Labs were also very well equipped with well trained and helpful lab assistants. Being good in theories is great but practical help a lot if something is missed in theory classes.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, they do provide internship for 2-3 months at the end of 6-7 the semester which is good enough to understand how corporates work.
Placement Experience :
It's almost 70-80% placements we can say. They have good collaboration with different companies for all segment like EE, CSE, ECE etc. they start conducting their placement right from the 6 the sem which is a good point as far as the job is concerned and it makes the student comfortable with interviews and stuff related to that.
College Events :
We had lots of events celebrated during the course of 4 years. They include area like games, cultural gathering, freshers party, farewell, seminars from other big universities like IITs and outings too. As I remember we at least used to have 3-4 such events during each semester.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Its all in between I can say. Not too cheap nor expensive. We had to pay 40k per semester which adds to 3.2l overall. Additionally, we have to pay for exam registration for each semester that cost around 1 k which usually happens everywhere. We had scholarships facility too.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No, I didn’t get any such opportunity but yes we had out classmate you grabbed those scholarships on the basis of merit.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio depends on the department but our department was like 3:4 female to male. Campus life was awsome and trust me you can spend your while life if you had the option to. Beautiful canteen, gym, basketball court, recreation room, library are some of them to mention here.
Hostel Facilities :
Being in West Bengal we have to accept by default that the food will be all good and the same was there. We had the option to choose from vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. 3 days a week we were served non-veg including a grand party every month in a hostel.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, they are pretty helpful not during the course of study but also after you pass out. I still contact them occasionally.
Exam Structure :
Great with 2 internal in lab and theories that count for semester result for each semester. It includes a final exam around the end of the semester that also includes lab and theories. We have assignments at the end to submit which counts for final scores. Additionally, attendance plays a vital role too.
Admission :
I applied to WBJEE and got the desired rank and got a call for counselling at salt lake. By the time I reached to the counselling desk just fewer seats were left for this college. I just opted for the same without any delay. Let me tell you the seats were all over when I came out from the counselling room.
Faculty :
The faculties were domain experts. They are pretty helpful and know how to make something clear to every student by having different kind of tricks, methods and real-life examples wherever possible. We people are allowed or have the freedom to reach any of them in case of any problem.
