- The campus is very huge, and the infrastructure is commendable
- The importance they give to the extra curricular activities as well, and the fests.
Dislikes
- Found it very expensive and for some courses the fees is not reasonable at all.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Particularly my course is the best in college. Because it is embedded with ACCA which again is a professional course. The curriculum is designed in a way that student knows how to deal with real-life situations, mostly case-based study, as we use ACCA materials. Exams are taken frequently, it is kind of pressurizing for the students. The difficulty level would be neutral, it again depends on the student, I would rate the difficulty level as 4/10.
Internships Opportunities :
I have gotten internship approval through ISDC placements which are offered only to my particular course, I am being paid 25k per month as a part of this internship. Other than that, in general, the internship opportunities are very less compared to full time job placements, so i don't have anything to say on internship opportunities as they are near to nil.
Placement Experience :
The campus placements are too good, and the Campus recruitment training is given to everyone. The student is eligible for placements in 5th semester and if he doesn't have any backlogs. Barclays, JP Morgan, Deloitte, HSBC, Synchrony, Optum, Accenture, PWC, and many more start-ups as well. The highest package is 12 LPA offered by Barclays this year, Average package is 4LPA 80% of students get placed. I am currently trying to complete my ACCA papers while working at DuPont.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fees, I have paid 2,11,400 Rs for all the 3 years to my college, including the examination fees and other miscellaneous fees as well. Apart from that, in my particular course, you have to pay somewhere around 40000 Rs to ISDC as my course is embedded in ACCA. I personally have not received any scholarship due to my dad being a government employee, but my friends either got their fees waivered or received somewhere around 15k, It again depends on the student's performance in college. Campus placements are too good, 80% of students get placed in our college.
Campus Life :
There will be department fests, College Day, and Resonance. You can participate in other department fests as well. There are different kinds of clubs that students are encouraged to join in 2nd semester, Like radio club, acting, drama, stock market, etc. Loyola has intra-college sports and extracurricular activities to participate in. The most famous group is Magic Youth, where students in the club try to do community service and many other things.
Admission :
The eligibility of the course is clearly mentioned on the college website. The application forms and all necessary links can be found on the college website itself. The frequency of exams is very often, and in 1 day they take 2 exams for mid-sems and for final-sems just 1 each day. The admission process could've been more easier if more time had been given, they just allot 3 days after the selection of the candidate to come to the college and pay the fees, which leads to a lot of crowds on the campus.
Faculty :
Most of the faculty that have taught me are qualified in some professional course or have done PhD, the effectiveness I personally would rate it 7/10, because it also depends on student's interest over the subject. The faculty is very approachable and will address any kind of issue. The faculty to student ratio is 1:60, it almost doesn't impact that much, everything goes smoothly.
Other Applied Colleges
St Francis College for Women | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] (Accounting and Finance)
It didn't have ACCA embedded in the course it's offering
