Course Curriculum Overview :

As the college is affiliated to Mkaut, it doesn't has much say in making thier own course curriculum. I chose computer science and engineering, and most of the course curriculum is obsolete, we need to study on our own from outside resources, to be placement ready

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

College provide a paid internship where we can learn new skills and build projects, to get a exposure of what is relevant in the industry and companies. We can choose in which field we want to do our intership like java, python cyber security or data science

Placement Experience :

Placement scenario is okay, it's niether that good nor that bad. Students need to study on their own, apart from college curriculum to get placed in a good company. The highest package would be around 10 lpa and average package around 3 lpa. Around 20-30 companies visit the college online as well as offline.Around 70 percent students get placed in the placement drive .

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee structure is not high, and affordable compare to other colleges. It will be approx 5 lakh along with the hostel. There are many government scholarship which students can avail through online portal, and college helps in giving all the relevant documents for processing the scholarship.

Campus Life :

Campus life of haldia institute of technology is very fascinating. There are two annual fest - prayukti( technical fest) and Rivera( cultural fest) where bollywood singers are invited for the concert. There are various clubs and societies like media , dance, photography club , techniacl society,animal welfare society and ngo . Students can be a member in more than one society or club.

Hostel Facilities :

The room of the hostel are good, not that great. Cold drinking water facility is available. Lawn in front of the hostel with badminton court is present. Hosteler can play tabble tennis, carrom in common room..Mess/canteen of the hostel is not upto the mark. The quality of food and meal is bad.

Hostel Fee : INR 25000 per year

Admission :

We can take admission in this college through wbjee counselling. According to the rank obtained in the wbjee exam , branch is allotted. There is 8 semester and each semester has 3 class assignment of 25 marks and final semester exam.

Faculty :

Faculties are very cooperative and nice and support you in many ways. We can approach them in their staff room or even after class for any problem.Some faculty are there, who are rude and uncooperative.

Review on Guru Nanak Institute of Technology from one year of college experience

Placement Experience:

Recession is going on since last few years and being a private college obviously that has affected placements in our college also. The current situation of placement is not really good. Among students from all branches which each may have like 150 students, only 20 something got placed on campus. It is said that companies like TCS, Capegemini, Wipro, Amazon, Zscaler etc comes to campus for hiring but most just come and don't hire. This year highest package was 26.5 lakhs by only 2 students from our department, CSE.

After 6 semester you will be eligible for on campus placement. But you can get internship offers earlier. The companies visited last year are Deltax, TCS research, zscalar, yellow class. Total 51 oncampus companies came last year. Highest package- 32lpa Avg package- 11.47lpa Last year placement percentage was 88.9% My plans after the degree are higher studies and masters.

The placement data of this college can be found on its site and if you work hard from your side the college will definitely bring in the companies and you will be placed depending on your skills. According to my knowledge the students becomes eligible for placement from 6 th semester this information may as be wrong so please refer to college once . College tries for almost 100 percent placements but with no skill even god can't help you so it comes to you individually how much have you grown. My plans after the degree is to get a job .
