Course Curriculum Overview :

The courses are planned really well as all the data is available in libraries and websites of thapar University and can be accessed by any student any time . The previous year question paper and tutorials help in better understanding regarding subjects and the labs help in increasing practical knowledge.

Internships Opportunities :

Teachers allow many students to work in project under them and the companies which provides internship are very well known and established with a good CTC. Companies like jpmc Deloitte and many other visit and select the students according to their needs

Placement Experience :

Placement and intership opportunities are provided in a abundance and a student with decent grades and knowledge can avail on campus offers very easily. A minimum of 7.5 cg is required for the safe zone but there are exceptions for those who have mastered any skill.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee is near around 2.25 lakhs per semester and 60-80 k for hostels which is but high but there are scholarships and there are many programs which help you support financially. Jobs are provided and many companies visit for internship and ppo offers on a regular basis. Jobs provided have a good stipend and now even thapar as started a venture lab which is providing more opportunities to the students.

Campus Life :

The festival and clubs and societies are the heart of thapar and they help a lot to open up and socialize. I personally am general secretary of one society which is a very big responsibility. Students can increase any of their skills by joining the society of same field.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are very good and seems fire like a hotel as they provide you with every facility. There are 1/2/3/4 sharing available with the choice of attached or public washroom depending on how much you want to pay. Meals are very tasty in comparison to other colleges.

Admission :

Application forms can be found only and it was quite easy. They usually admit on basis of jee mains marks or borads marks . They have cut-off very high for our side Punjab people but for inside Punjab the cutoff are low. The admission process has developed a lot since my admission time and is very easy to apply.

Faculty :

All the faculties are quite well qualified and will help you if you ask but there is no personal student faculty bonding as in schools... There is a mentor meeting once in a year but that's more over just a formal procedure which no student take that seriously.

Interview Experience :

There was no written test but there was a gf while document verification and it was moreover asking about each other and the doubts There is no interview for admission and is totally based on your marks and the affidavits you are supposed to attach

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was doing bachelor of Technology in computer science. Starting from the classroom to the computer labs , everything is available and well maintained. You learn programming and languages with the help of faculty and for every student there is computer available with all equipments. In a week, there are 3 days of computer lab practice and 3 days for classwork. The professor tests and skills very often and if there is any inefficiency , he/she will help you to correct it. The curriculum at Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering and Technology is thoughtfully designed to provide a comprehensive education that balances theoretical foundations with practical applications. The courses are continually updated to reflect the latest advancements in technology and industry trends, ensuring that students receive a modern and relevant education. Each program offers a well-rounded mix of core subjects, electives, and hands-on projects that allow students to tailor their learning experiences to

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as I was passionate about coding from my 10th class and technology always fascinates me. In our class, total students were 70 which was same for most of the sections. Some faculty members of my college were good while most of them were tolerable. Most of them had masters degree and some had done PhD. They were focused mostly on the curricullum designed by the university and completed syllabus within the timeline. Our college had separate marks for attendance and any student with below 75 attendance will not be able to give end term exams except for some medical condition. We had CAs (class assement exams), mid term exams and end term exams. The CAs are little bit higher level as that of mid and end terms exams. Overall exams are moderate to higher and someone who had studied the syllabus topics and followed the faculty members will easy pass the exam.
