Course Curriculum Overview :

Engineering and plus AI & Machine learning is a special testimony of UPES as they were the first college in this region to introduce this course. I must say I have referred to various books and journals but nothing comes close to the kind of syllabus that we have. Exams were held every month that accounted for 40% score and for the rest 60% it was the end semester.

Internships Opportunities :

At UPES they provide different types of internship opportunities like I have done my internship at HERE Technology it is an international company where I can learn different types of libraries like selenium, beautiful soup. Basically, my work is to scrapping the data.

Placement Experience :

Placement at UPES are one of the best in dehradun. With all big names in IT sectors such as capegemini, Deloitte, Accenture, TCS and all coming to our fore, the placement at UPES is awesome nearly 70% of the students were recruited directly from the campus and that too with an average salary of 6-7 lakhs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Well, fees are certainly higher at UPES and no one can deny that. My complete course of education went around 18 lakh and more but it was worth it as end of the day I was placed though campus and counting the ROI, it was indeed worth it.

Campus Life :

UPES events and fests goes hand in hand. Out of all these events the one event that stands out is the annual cultural fest Urja and many other cultural fest are also organised like in Durga Pooja they organised dandiya nights. The college has various sporting facilities from badminton court to lavish green football turfs.

Hostel Facilities :

In UPES hostel facility are very good the environment is very good food is awesome it taste like you eat at your home. Every thing just awesome security is good. At hostel they provided all the amenities like study table and chair every student and bed, almirah saparate washroom and every day they cleaning your room . Every day they provided different types of food. The registration process is very simple.

Hostel Fee : INR 170000 per year

Admission :

For entrance UPES have their own entrance exam called UPESEAT. Besides that IIT JEE scores are also considered and if one reaches the advanced level. They get direct admissions. Otherwise management quota options are also available and these are the ways one can enter UPaeS University.

Faculty :

I have never seen faculties having any trouble in teaching us the subjects they have been assigned. Hence proven that only expert faculties have been hired by the management to make sure students are in the best of hands. Plus they are so cooperative that one can demand extra lectures from them at any point in time.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for Placement is semester 7 and 8 which is 4th year. A number of companies visit the campus including HCL foundation, ICICI Bank, Mother Dairy, Godrej agrovet Ltd. Etc. I myself am thinking of going into research field so i'll have to do further studies in the same field.

The placement shows quantity but not quality, in my batch 60-70% students were placed with a highest package of 5lakh per annum and minimum package of 2.4 lakh. As per fees of college the average package seems low.

This college has quite good placements for CS students. The average package of the college is 7 lpa which is quite decent. Last year the highest package offered was of 68 lpa at Palo Alto. Remarks:

I chose this college women institute of technology which is in Dehradun because it is the only government College which is for girls and it gives them technical knowledge. The college is funded by many government schemes which are very beneficial for us. We have different seminars winners from course in other things also to increase our soft skills as well as other skills. Hair in my 4 year experience I have learnt a lot a lot of things. We get free coaching for MTech i.e GATE classes and other employability training programs and that too free of cost.
